United States Postal Service — Local services in City of Cortland

Young blonde woman is always rude when I am there. Had packages left on my mailbox because they would not fit in the mailbox. I live in multi dwelling housing. I knew I had a package that was too large coming so I went down at 9am to see if I could get it or to at least warn them. The woman stated above told me not to make a habit of coming in early but said it in a tone that was nasty, I left without my package. Got a slip saying I could pick up another package after 4pm. I go down she's there and tells me I have to get it after 4pm, it was 4:15pm. I told her and she tells me he isn't back yet so I ask her when he would be back, she tells me 5pm (closing) and to come back tomorrow. I hate the USPS more and more. They seem to be on a big downside. I do a lot of business through the mail, think I will switch to UPS and FEDEX they seem to always...

Worst post office ever! Packages they cant find, rude staff, never have money to cash your USPS money orders. There is one very nice man behind the desk who is very nice and helpful but the rest act like you are wasting their time, they dont even try to be nice, my mailman is the greatest, these two people are the ONLY reason they were even given one star! The postmaster himself is very rude and short to you over the phone if you call with a question or a problem. Never heard of a post office not being able to cash their own money orders, it has happened to me 3 times in the last 3 months and one was only worth $70, they actually told me to go to Homer Post Office or my bank to cash it!!!! Every time I'm supposed to get a Amazon order on Sunday, I never get it or it gets delivered to another address or the food bank in Groton NY. Never have a problem on Monday to Saturday deliveries. Seems my Sunday packages come from Cortland post office. I have multiple security cameras and it says delivered at 1:49pm, yet on the cameras, it only shows the postal van driving right by my house and never stopping. I have my house number on my mailbox twice, on my lawn and on the house. Have complained to Amazon numerous times and told them to no longer deliver my orders on Sundays due to whoever can't read numbers at post office.
