Best family fair, new ride vendor is a big improvement over the last one, no rides broken down for any extended time and the ride operators for this company are much nicer than the last vendor. Demo derby is great as always. Both of them. Live stock barns are excellent, welcoming for non farm folks! would still love to see a high quality show added to punch the entertainment up a bit. Needs at least one air conditioned building for older or folks with health problems to rest and recover on hot July days. buy your pre sale tickets next year at frosty treat in irving and save $5 a ticket and get a free ice cream cone! Love this fair, Nationally recognized by USA today as one of the top 10 family fairs in the country!

Our visit to the fairgrounds wasn't to enjoy the actual fair but most every other day of the year, rain or shine, where we (along with many other county residents police officers) have been allowed to run our family pets going back as far as 2010 when our family began taking our first Yellow Lab there for exercise. We have since introduced 3 more of our family dogs to this favorite location and so long as the visitors clean up after their pets, the association hasn't ever had an issue about this. It is truly appreciated, too!

Nostalgic visit today. Last time I was there was with my Dad 15 years ago. Our family since 1972 has owned a food concession. The Dunkirk fair was one of our yearly stops. That day He got to see many people that knew him. He passed two months later. The fair has gotten much smaller over the years but it still holds a special place in our hearts. It was not busy this afternoon but business picked up quite a bit for the demo derby.

Not that impressed with the fair the last two years.rides opened late on opening day.no reason that I seen that they couldn't have opened at 1.like the other days .a lot less stands, less rides, people running the rides were.not friendly, grandson got burned in the building where they sell different things ..they broke the owner and the owner didn't care and wanted to get rid of them very fast.4 h buildings and animals were wonderful and so was everyone who raised the animals..there were no horses in the horse barns to see..I look forward to seeing horses there .if it wasn't for the 4 hers I...
