The Post Mailroom — Local services in City of Glen Cove

Accidentally stumbled upon this gem while frantically trying to find a reliable printer for my wedding signage. The plan was to stop at the pizzeria next door for a quick bite to eat and than we happened to see this in the same plaza.

By some miracle, Steven was able to do less than a 24 hour turnaround for our wedding welcome sign was was a huge relief. He made the process quick and easy. He sent us an e-mail the next morning to let us know the sign was ready. It was gorgeous!! The colors were vibrant, and as a wedding stationer i'm happy to find a new print team I can rely on for my NY based clients. Also in love with the fact that they'll bleed the design to the edge of the board so you don't get those white borders around the image (makes a world of a difference!) The foamboard is sturdy and high quality (unlike some chain bargain print shops that I avoid at all costs).

I went there to get a court filing notarized. I was in a rush. The owner read it over, then told me it would be $10.

I'm a lawyer and a notary. (Notaries can't notarize their own signatures, though.) I politely told him that I thought there was a statutory limit of $2 per signature. (There is.) He told me I was incorrect, because it was "a service."

This was a pure lie, and he knew it. Because I wanted to get the document filed promptly, I didn't really care. But I only had a $5 on me. I asked if I could pay the $10 fee by credit card, and he said yes, but when I asked for the receipt (so I could log the expense to the client), he kicked me out of the store. I asked him whether I had been rude or done something wrong, and he told me to just leave.

So, I did. Then, over $8, I wrote this bad review. And, shortly, I'll be reporting him to the licensing authority.

I rarely write a review, but HAD to take the time to share my experiences with the Post Mailroom! Shipping is a business of Trust - we hand over our precious and valuable items and trust that our shipper will value the successful delivery of our packages as much as we do.
