sobol glen cove — Restaurant in City of Glen Cove

Been coming to this location for the last 6 months. Been here literally 100 times and really liked coming here.

Today i place an order for a large acai bowl as usual. I was half way into eating it and there was a little chunk of hair at the center of it. Absolutely disgusting. I called the location and it wasnt the usual people that i am used to dealing with. She was "apologetic " and offered to make another one but i was definitely NOT comfortable with her making one for me. I wanted a refund and was told i would get one so i was patient and figured i would circle back to it later this week.

I get a call back that the refund will be processed ( i spent a boatload of money at this location it is not about the money) and was told "sorry for the misunderstanding " and was hung up on. I called back for clarity and was given an attitude and the person stopped speaking on the other end. No clarity nothing! .

I was dropping $40 DAILY at this location but will never come here again. Not only do they not appreciate your business and are rude ( not the girls i was working with these new hires whoever they are) but they will also leave hair in your acai bowl! Plus the bowls were never like how the other girls made them. Idk what happened in such a short period of time but im never coming here again.

My husband and I will never visit this spot again! The service was horrible. The young, thin, petite young lady wouldn’t even address us. We had to say excuse me, hello and she looks up and says yes, not hello or can I help you. We said we would like to place an order and her response was order at the counter. She walks to the counter with an attitude as if we were disturbing her. However, someone else walks in and she says hello, here to pick up and walked away from us. I would hate to think that it was because we were black. However, that seems to be the only thing different between us and the other customers. Never again, I’m so disappointed. I’ve gone here before and never had this experience...

I accidentally discovered SoBol while I was walking around, but I’m very glad I did. I got a kids size coconut smoothie bowl (I wasn’t sure if i’d like it) with some nutella, and it was delicious. I also got a spirulina smoothie and it was so good that I’ve visited SoBol twice more to satisfy my cravings!
