The first time the display just went black - I bought it in July 2019 and the displayed failed in April. I had to send it to them in Califormnia for repair. Two weeks later I got the laptop back and within a few days I noticed the battery was not charging - I had to send it back for a second repair, the motherboard was replaced. I am still having trouble getting the battery to charge so I contacted tech support again and was told if I send the laptop back they will replace the motherboard again AND the battery. So I said OK, they sent a return shipping label. I boxed up the laptop a third time to ship back to California when I received a second email:
"For your out of warranty service request, we will need ten working days to run diagnostic tests and provide you with an estimated repair cost. There is a minimum $45.00 diagnostic fee. We will waive the $45.00 diagnostic fee if you approve the repair work. We will charge a flat labor fee of $95.00 + the quoted price of any required parts and shipping."
If this laptop was fixed properly the SECOND time I sent it back, within the one year warranty, I would not still be having this problem AND I would not be charged. So now this pseudo laptop has to be used like a PC. Buy from a more reliable company - DON'T GET RIPPED...

My sister was looking for a new laptop years ago and I researched on multiple forums and found that Sager is reliable and a good bang for you buck. She has had her Sager laptop for about 3 years now, runs without problems and I was very impressed it has held up. I finally caved in and bought one 6 months ago and I absolutely love it. What I am more impressed is how support contacted me quickly after emailing them and gave me a direct number to call them at. The guy on the phone was very friendly and was able to solve my issue (Windows 10 setting, nothing hardware related). The laptop runs excellent with the latest games and the 144hz display is so nice. Read moreI bought a computer from Sager almost a year ago, and in the past 3 months, the computer has broken and been RMA'd 4 times. They claim to have a "no-lemon" policy, which says that if the computer is broken 4 times, they will completely replace it. After dozens of phone calls, and mentioning the BBB and their own warranty, I still haven't heard back from them in over two weeks. The computer was cheap and powerful, and I'm sure some people get lucky - but their repair department doesn't care AT ALL about their customers, and the entire company is a scam as far as I'm concerned.
