Yunnan Guoqiao Garden is a cozy and charming spot that beautifully showcases the flavors of Yunnan cuisine. The restaurant’s clean and thoughtfully designed interior, with wooden accents and warm lighting, sets the perfect tone for an enjoyable meal. I also appreciated the display of specialty cold dishes near the entrance—a great touch for anyone wanting to try a variety of flavors.
The Tianqi Steamed Chicken Soup was the star of the meal. Served in a traditional clay pot, the broth was rich and aromatic, with subtle herbal notes that made it deeply comforting. The chicken was tender and infused with the flavors of the soup, making each bite feel like a treat. It’s the kind of dish that lingers in your mind long after the meal.
The service was efficient, ensuring everything arrived promptly, though there’s a little room for improvement in terms of attentiveness. Overall, Yunnan Guoqiao Garden delivers on its promise of authentic and satisfying Yunnan flavors, and it’s a spot I’d...
Read moreWe visited this place after seeing it recommended on Xiaohongshu as authentic Yunnan noodles, but we were extremely disappointed! First, the broth wasn’t hot enough, if there were any raw egg they wouldn’t cook properly; so they provided boiled ones.
The meat was not good, with the chicken looking less than fresh and tasting bland. We also ordered the small pot rice noodles, and instead of the minced meat being well-mixed, it came out in clumps.
The noodles themselves were overcooked and lacked any chewiness.
The environment was also uncomfortable—the place was crowded when we arrived, and the staff simply told us it was full without offering us a place to wait.
Whats even worse, the air conditioning was inadequate, and we were sweating through our meal. We definitely won’t be coming back and will advise our friends to...
Read moreRecently found out about this place from the take out section. All the cold dishes are very well seasoned, we were hooked after trying it a few weeks ago.
A week after we dined in for the first time. Really enjoyed all of the dishes, the spicy dishes are really spicy and they do have options to lower the spice. There is a free self serve dessert cart in the back and this really keeps my toddler satisfied before the food arrives. We usually have early dinner so the service has been pretty accommodating when you ask.
Considering that we’ve been here 3 times in the last 2 weeks and planning to go again tomorrow, I think I’d have to rate this...
