We had a office chair whose lifting gas cylinder was no longer "lifting." We tried to remove the old one but it would not budge. We even brought it to a local gas station to try to get the old one off and the mechanics couldn't get the old cylinder off no matter how hard they tried and suggested a "pneumatic press."

I brought it to Steve and he methodically went step by step using different approaches and different tools to first loosen the bolts which where totally locked in and then eventually remove the old gas cylinder so we could replace it with a new one.

He had the right tools - but more importantly the knowledge and patience to work through the problem methodically, step by step until he solved it and repaired the chair.

Since each situation/repair is different - you need someone like Steve who has the experience with many different types of furniture repairs to bring that knowledge together to fix any of your furniture repair needs.

Truly outstanding furniture repair. I called Steve Amato on Friday. He asked me to send him some pictures of our damaged side table. After looking at the pictures, he called me back about an hour later and offered to come to our house to see if he could make the repairs on site and if not, he would take our side table to his workshop and return it after the repair, which is what happened. Steve sent me a text Sunday afternoon saying he had completed the repairs and could deliver our side table on Monday. Wow, what service!

Steve delivered our repaired side table Monday morning as promised. It looks fabulous. He completely fixed our broken pedestal leg and also stabilized the side table. Honestly, it’s now better than new.
