Genesis House — Local services in City of Olean

My husband and I stayed there almost 5 years ago and were blessed beyond measure. We had lost everything and were homeless and nearly penniless. We stepped off a grayhound bus from Arkansas into an Olean snow storm! The weather was colder than we had ever known, but the warmth we received while there was immeasurable. I shouldn't give them one star because this place is terrible. Being from NYC where homeless shelters are abundant, Olean cannot help ppl on a greater compacity. They couldn't help me or my wife and kids when we fell on hard times. In fact they even went as far as to send us back to NYC with threats of calling child protection services. Totally disrespectful.
