Park is in sorry shape but quiet and peaceful in March. Great views of the river and Albany skyline on the other side. History buffs may enjoy industrial ruins of Barnet-Shoddy mill built around 1905 overseeing the park - currently known as Hilton Center. The company is still around(!), they have just moved to North Carolina in the 1960s. In any case, cool authentic historic place, also known as Kiliaen's Landing, worth a visit before Rensselaer bulldozes everything to make it shovel ready for...

The boat launch is a beautiful serene place to view city of Albany especially in the evening. Its my granddaughter's favorite spot to just sit there & view the illuminated city preceded with the Hudson River glimmering in the light of the moon. Just...
