Thatcher St is a legendary dive bar, hidden away as the wayward step child from the rest of the more family friendly Clinton Ave establishments. Like the industrial venues surrounding it, Thatcher St is a blue collar paradise remiscent of "Nick's" in It's A Wonderful Life - for hard men who like hard drinks. The working dart board, pool table, and juke box all take a seat behind the real entertainment of this juke joint - the ridiculously attractive and scantily clad barmaids who sling drinks with hearts of gold buried under sass and cyanide wits. A pedestrian set of taps, including PBR, as you'd expect, along with the usual misfit spirits like Wild Turkey grace this no frills bar. Ended up going there tonight with 2 co workers of mine and it was a great place. Very laid back atmosphere and not noisy at all where we could actually have a conversation and not have to yell to hear each other. I ended up getting a bowl of the chili, which was amazing. Had the perfect amount of meat and beans in it. And I also had an order of fried mushrooms that were also amazing. Alot of places when you order fried mushrooms the breading just falls right off and mushrooms are mushy, but these were nice and crispy and batter tasted great. The bartender Brittany did and amazing job as well. She was really quick and was always there to make sure are drinks for good and also had great conversations with her. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice bar...

Been delivering plumbing supplies next door from rhode island for a while now, been wanting to check this place out, well, because i love old school bars, so i called up and ordered a burger and chicken wings, the interior decor was second to none lol (attractive and scantily clad bartender) but seriously it was a laid back atmosphere and everyone was cool, the food was really good!...
