I would consider the food at Lost and Found to be "hipster pub food," a genre that's no longer uncommon around here, but when it's done well, its ubiquitousness doesn't matter. There is noticeable restraint used in the dishes we had, all for the better. The carbonara fries, which if ordered at like an Applebee's, would be drowning in bland sauce with mountains of bacon and soggy fries. L&F's were amazing. Just the right amount of flavorful cream sauce so most of the fries stayed crisp on the edges, enough bacon to notice but still be a small part of the dish, some scallions for texture, just a sprinkling of cheese, and thoughtfully topped with a fried egg, the yolk slightly runny to give the whole dish some unctuousness. We also had the peach salad with herbs and smoked blue cheese. There could have been slightly more restraint with the amount of dressing, but it wasn't so much that the lettuce turned soggy. The freshness of the peaches was evident, their sweetness matched perfectly with the vinegary dressing, the aromatic dill and other herbs, and the intense smoked cheese...which again demonstrated the chef's use of restraint. Blue cheese can already be strong, and when it's smoked, the potency intensifies, so too much of it can be overwhelming. But not here. Just the right amount sprinkled on the salad gives you a hint in each bite, matching well with the other components. Finally we had a special - half roast chicken with a hoisin BBQ glaze and a skewer of grilled shrimp, with gojuchang slaw, sesame noodles, and pickled carrots and daikon. The chicken was juicy and tender, the shrimps were delicious, and the sides were all very tasty, matching well with the proteins. The glaze on the chicken was just the right amount to flavor the chicken but not detract from the bird being the star of the dish. The staff was friendly, they were very good about people being masked when not at their tables, and they allow dogs, which always provides entertainment....
Read moreIf you need a quick bite and drink this is an awesome place to stop by and do so… It’s a sweet sports bar with a sufficient menu.
Unfortunately I went for brunch which is why I gave it 3 stars. But don’t let that stop you from going because I loved their mixed green salad and I plan to go back. The staff was friendly and I appreciate that.
Now I know I had no business at a sports bar eating brunch but I like to try new experiences when it comes to food.
The place has a quaint feel, the bar and kitchen are in the dining room so that was different.
The staff was beyond friendly and inviting which I truly appreciate. My server was busy but she made sure to check on us. I midkey felt a little bad because I had tons of questions about the menu(which has minimal descriptions of what the food actually is).
The food was tasty. I ordered one of the specials. Crab cakes and mixed green salad. I had them substitute the poached eggs for fried. In hindsight I should have asked if they had egg whites.
The bathrooms were clean and had the supplies I needed to utilize it.
Now I’m a mimosa woman. They don’t offer bottomless (wah) They don’t have many juice options as mixers but my main thing was the champagne wasn’t that great. I’ve had everything from Andre and Belaire to Ace of Spades and Dom P. But this champagne was B.I.T.T.E.R.
He ordered a bottle of wine. Which I didn’t care to much for either, but it’s not a wine bar. So it didn’t expect too much in that regard.
If and when I do return I will do so for the salad. Chances are I’ll be with my bf who will want to watch sports and drink. I’ll be along for the ride.
Overall I do recommend this place to grab a bite to eat and most...
Read moreWith all the great reviews, I decided to try this place out. It was excellent - fresh, quality food and ingredients, decent beer selection (tap & bottles), and a really nice atmosphere. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the limited menu. I'm not sure if it will expand once they've been open longer, or if it's a rotating menu of a few options, but it is a small menu if you're looking for more bar food options. The choices are a bit eclectic as well; they have a few choices for appetizers/snacks, sandwiches, "produce" and fries. The meatless chili burger was phenomenal - the fries and pickle chips that came with it were fresh and delicious. We also got the caesar choice under "produce", which is green beans mixed with caesar dressing; make sure you read or ask what is in something if you're not certain, because even though we saw green beans right on the menu, and the waitress said it, we assumed green beans were mixed in with the greens or on top. However, it was literally green beans substituted for the traditional greens. So that is why the choices are eclectic and unconventional. That being said, as long as you're not looking for a huge bar menu with a ton of appetizers, burgers, etc, this place is great and it won't disappoint. It is definitely worth a try if you're looking for great, quality food with some new twists on...
