Boom Babies — Local services in City of Syracuse

Hi, my name is Judayah and I love Boom Babies. Around this time last year I began the search for the perfect dress for my Sweet Sixteen. I decided earlier in the month that my party's theme would be a Black & White Masquerade Ball. I wanted everyone to show up in plain colors so my dress would clearly contrast. Ideally, I was looking for a short, fun look. Actually, I had an aqua-mirror Sherri Hill dress in mind. Every store I tried was fresh out of stock with the dress! Just my luck right? One of my fellow marching band members gave me the tip to try Boom Babies in Syracuse, NY. I had never heard of the store, as I am from a much smaller town also located in New York. But because I'm adventurous, I tried it anyway. Can I tell you that every Sherri Hill dress I had seen online was in your store? May I please inform everyone that Boom Babies hires only the most cordial, helpful, and fashion-inclined workers? From the moment I walked in I felt like I was a priority. My dressing room assistant brought maybe 20 dresses in for me to try on. I felt like I was literally in heaven! A part about Boom Babies that I love, however, is how much I learn about myself in each visit. As said before, I was looking for a short and fun dress. The last dress the assistant bought me is the one in the picture provided. In the bag I thought to myself: I hate this dress. Why am I trying on this dress? I'm going to look so ugly in this dress. But she asked me to trust her, and so I did. I don't know how she knew, it was the only floor-length dress I had tried on that day, but this gown was gorgeous. Prior to, I have never felt so beautiful in my skin. I was guaranteed to be a Princess and I looked fabulous. This is what I love most about Boom Babies, the beautiful surprises. From the moment we walked in we were greeted professionally, I recommend definitely scheduling an appointment. (The first time we came we were walk-in) With that being said, we were directed around to look while we wait. Which was not long at all. Tatiana was our stylist, we had never been prom dress shopping or had any clue what to do, she took the time to ask slight details about likes dislikes and from them on it was 5 star service. On that current visit we were still undecided. So left feeling we had some idea how to start the process. We looked from Syracuse to Herkimer to almost every dress shop we could find available. Boom Babies, we ended back at your door today, explained we were there prior that week and wanted to look again. This day we made an appointment, by the time we arrived we were greeted with smiles and professionalism. Their were dresses already pulled and ready, for my daughter to try on by Ms. Tori she was very patient and knowledgeable the first dress she tried and pulled was the perfect one! Thank you so much Boom babies for making this experience the best! Definitely will be first place for senior ball. I had an appointment to dress shop for my senior ball. Each dress I pulled was scanned, and the girl helping me in the fitting room, Tori, said nobody at my school had purchased these dresses yet and allowed me to try them on. When I was done trying on, I had two dresses I really loved. While deciding between the two, Tori mentioned that the dress I was leaning towards was so unique and fit me so well. She told me she had sold 1000 that looked just like my second choice, and I’d look like everyone else wearing this dress. Because of her, I chose the unique dress and she bagged it up and brought it to the register for me to purchase. I tipped her 20 dollars. The man at the register told me he would not sell me this dress because another girl at my school already had it, then attempted to sell me the second choice dress their saleswoman had just convinced me was plain and too similar to everyone else’s. Despite the fact that their store is supposed to check these things before allowing you to try on the dress, the staff showed little remorse and Tori did not apologize nor show her face until we left the store. She also kept our $20 tip. After leaving the store empty handed, I’ve come to find out that I am not the first girl this happened to- same dress and they didn’t correct their mistake the first time.
