Absolutely terrible experience! My family decided to go on a drive and we found this place. No signs or anything that intaled we shouldn’t be in there. The women (owner) screamed and literally barked like a dog at us making us leave. I’m shocked. I was innocently looking at the beautiful garden and the experience was completely uncalled for. I had no issues paying for the experience if I had known I needed to! Her son was just as rude and escalated the situation. So sad to see such a wonderful place ruined by...

A beautiful respite in the city! I walk through Thornden Park once a week or so and always stop in the rose garden to see what's blooming. They have benches and a water fountain, which is great mid-walk/run. The garden is cared for by volunteers, and you can tell how much they care. It's a great place to bring visitors or kids - they'll love to run down the paths like a maze and see all the different colors. Even when the roses aren't in bloom, it's still a nice...

We visited the garden at the end of July and there weren't many roses in bloom, but the place itself is worth to visit in any season for their beautiful design. There is a free parking lot across the street on the weekends and up to the park road there are plenty of spaces for parallel parking. Just next to the garden there is a nice hiking path and picnic tables. The public washroom in the park about 15 minutes walk...

Mid June is prime time to visit the rose garden. I go every year sometimes multiple times. Just a stroll, reading the aged plaques with the dates and names is like magic. A walk through history. And it smells so good. Grab a coffee and take an hour just slowly roaming. It’s so lovely. Also around the corner is the playground in thornden park, so bring the kids too!

This is a really beautiful little local gem. I've lived just a few minutes from here for many years and like to come walking here several times a year. The variety of roses is astounding, and the location is beautiful enough to be worth hosting weddings and other events at. It seems like mid-June to early July is the best time to see the peak bloom. Take a gander!
