Never again. Not for pharmaceutical, not for toiletries, not for any reason whatsoever will I ever go into that store again. I have the flu and normally I am taken care of thru the VA. Called Walgreens to make sure they took VA insurance, the first attendant said yes. Had Urgent Care send the scripts to Walgreens, when I was done and in the car, I called Walgreens again to let them know the scripts had been sent, this attendant said “ill put it as a cash pick up that way we start filling them while you’re on way, just give me your VA medical card when you get here”. So far everything is great…I arrive, and the line isn’t too bad, but so slow. It’s becoming real apparent that the pharmacy is understaffed for this time of year/day with the counter, consults and drive thru…so alllll of us are chill. We wait. We wait. Line builds. We wait. I get up there and hand the girl my medical card. She asks me what my bin # is. I said I don’t know, you can call the number on back and the VA will approve it. It’s usually SS or DOB. Nope, not gonna call… instead, we are gonna go wait on another co worker to pull in for experience and maybe get some answers. Guess what. Walgreens does not accept VA insurance. (Could have mentioned that 2 phone calls ago), CVS across the street however does. So I look at the current attendant and say hey, you should probably let your coworkers know that VA insurance is not accepted at Walgreens so that people don’t have to wait and waste your time or ours. That attendant decided to get REAL spicy with me, like she’s a big girl. So little miss Emo, blessed be sis. And Walgreens, do better about staffing and attending to the Veterans Administration ...
Read moreI do not understand the lack of attentive customer service! So, I place a web order that was to be delivered, and it gets canceled?! I couldn't understand why? So I contact the store to try and get some information on the cancelation. I talk to the store manager, which I had to tell her 3 times what the issue was, at first tells me she does not have access to that information. I proceeded to ask " You mean to tell me you can't tell me if my order was canceled?" Finally I assume she checks it out and tells me that yes, my order was canceled, and ( here's the kicker!) that I canceled it. I, of course, was very surprised since I was hoping for some cough medicine for the night. So she tells me that I would need to call 1-800-Walgreens for any further help with my strangely canceled order. There I was calling 1-800-Walgreens at 7:30 pm hoping to get it fixed/and find out what happened! Finally I talk with a service customer agent. I repeat my cancelation story, no problem right! She proceeds to tell me that the store canceled it! According to what she was reading, regarding the order, the store canceled it stating that ALL of my order was out of stock! What in the world! I had Ten items, you mean to tell me all items were out of stock?! Then I had to ASK the customer service agent to place my order once again. I couldn't believe it! She couldn't add my coupons back onto my order, yet could give me walgreens cash to be used at a later time. So now I have to wait until the next day to place my order if I want to use my coupons. Do you think I will? NOPE!...
Read moreOne of the worse experiences I've had at a retail store. Management is disorganized and doesn't pay attention to customer needs and can often be heard chatting about customers in a disparaging tone. Employees stand in the photo department and other portions of the store for long periods of time talking about other employees they deem disinteresting in some way and seem to be overall incompetent in their jobs. I once heard a"Jen" literally yelling at an employee for "asking too many questions." This is wholly unprofessional on a salesfloor or any portion of a store. I've seen this same employee in the past speaking to a larger wirey haired blonde woman for long periods of time while employees are calling for back up at the front register. I was in line once for ten minutes while the employee called for backup at least three times. When the blonde woman walked up she said, "What do you need?" (The line was four carts deep so this seemed like either an unintelligent question or a very flat odd response.)
Along with all of that, pharmacy techs can be seen on their phones in the corner of the pharmacy eating fast food while customers are waiting to be helped. Sometimes one employee will be helping three people while another tech stands to the side.
All in all, I'm unimpressed with this Walgreens and the experience I had with the employees I was in contact with in the times I had to make...
