Several months ago we had a disappointing visit but decided to try Main Street Tavern in Claremore again today. It was almost 5:00 pm, on a Sunday, when we arrived. No waiting and could only see about 6 or 7 tables/booths occupied. Once seated the waitress got our drinks and we were ready to order. My wife had the mahi mahi which she usually gets. It was good again today. Her risotto, that came with her meal, was served in a bowl with a soup spoon stuck in it. First time to see that! I clearly ordered a ribeye, medium rare, with risotto and a side salad. My salad never arrived....not until my steak did. Another first! My risotto was also in a bowl with a soup spoon. Much to my dismay I found my steak was cooked medium, not medium rare, and after eating 1/3 of the steak it became obvious it was not a ribeye, it was a sirloin. While it didn't taste bad, it was somewhat dry, and cooked too much. Our waitress disappeared after bringing the entrees and returned once to refill our drinks. The waitress brought our ticket and I put my card in the folder. We waited over 15 for the waitress to return. Finally we asked another waitress to please get ours. Seems our waitress was busy talking to young male employees at the front of dining area. Mistakes happen, but when you advertise as a steak house you should be able to deliver a ribeye, cooked to order, not an overcooked sirloin. Needless to say, this will be the last time for us at this location. Very disappointed. (Check 72-1......table 42....

Main St Tavern in Claremore is hands-down one of the best dining spots in town. From the moment you step in, the warm, inviting atmosphere sets the stage for an unforgettable meal.
Let’s talk about the food—oh my, where do I start? The burgers are a masterpiece! Juicy, perfectly cooked, and loaded with fresh toppings, they’ll have you savoring every bite. Pair that with their crispy fries, which strike the ideal balance of crunch and seasoning, and you’ve got a meal that hits all the right notes.
But wait, there’s more! The pretzels with queso are simply heavenly. The pretzels are warm and soft with just the right amount of salt, and the queso is rich, creamy, and downright addictive. It’s a match made in foodie heaven.
The service here is impeccable, too. The staff are friendly, attentive, and clearly care about making your experience exceptional. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, they’ll make you feel right at home.
Main St. Tavern is perfect for everything from a casual lunch to a relaxed dinner with friends or family. With delicious food, great service, and a cozy atmosphere, it’s a place you’ll find yourself coming back to again and again.

Read morePlease follow us on Facebook and Instagram at SNDTravels. Nice place downtown Claremore. Diane had the Adult grilled cheese and a cup of ham and corn chowder and sweet potato fries. The grilled cheese was a good blend of cheeses in a herb butter toast, the chowder was not skimpy on the ingredients and seasoned well. Diane was super impressed with the sweet potato fries. Seasoned well and still crispy at the end of the meal. I had the ribeye with green beans and mashed potatoes. I saw you could get some onion straws with your steak for $1 extra so I had them bring the strings out for an appetizer. Nice and crispy, these should be on the menu as an appetizer. The steak was cooked and seasoned very good with some char on the outside. The potatoes and green beans were a real nice compliment to the steak. Overall, everything was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Recommended 👍👍 Back again 2.26.20. This time it was cheese burger and chicken pot pie. Once again I ordered the $1 side of onion strings. Diane also had the bread pudding which was delved into before I could get a photo. Everything was very good and fresh once again....
