It was my first time in this Salon, someone had recommended Maria to me. I saw her work in other people and I liked it. I went to a consultation to see if she could do and achieve what I wanted, she told me that she could definitely do it. My appointment was given to me months later in September, I was looking forward to this appointment. My hair was already blond, I have had blond hair for 5 years. all I had was the dark root because my natural hair is dark brown. When I get to the appointment I explain what I want and show her a photo so that she has an idea of ​​what I'm looking for. she told me that she DEFINITELY CAN DO IT. she starts work took about 5 hours. When she begins to dry my hair I realize that it is darker than when I arrived and what I wanted was to be more blonde. I also notice my hair stained in certain parts.

I tell her that I don't like the color and that it looks stained. The only thing she tells me is that the time they gave her for the appointment was not enough and that I need to go back. I stay like ok. They give me the appointment for the following week. Maria says that she needs only an hour to finish everything. I said ok perfect. The day before the appointment I got a call from the Salon and they tell me if I can arrive 30 mins earlier because Maria needs more time. ok I said I will try to arrive earlier. my appointment was at 1pm and I arrived at 12pm an hour earlier. Maria starts working on my hair. Two hours later she asks a girl to wash my head. when the girl finishes washing my head she tells me that I'm done and now I can go. I stay like ok, I went to the receptionist and I told her that I arrive an hour earlier so that she would finish my hair well and even. My hair still looking bad . the only thing the receptionist say is ok, I'm going to talk to Maria and let you know. that day Maria didn't bother to dry my hair to see if I liked her or not! I began my hair journey at Northern Lights with Rommy, an AMAZING professional who treated me like a client she'd known for years. For the past year and a half, I've been booking with Kendalle as her hours are more accommodating to my own schedule, and I am so pleased with her work, attitude, and hospitality.

Kendalle recently did a full balayage and haircut that gave my hair a fresh new look after being in quarantine for months. I LOVED how she styled my hair, and it was so shiny and healthy (as usual, after a visit at this salon). A couple days later I realized the layers she cut weren't working as well with my naturally thick, wavy-to-curly hair. I called the salon and was immediately greeted by Brandy, who is always a joy to speak to, and she told me Kendalle would be able to see me just a few days later. When I walked in, I showed her what my hair looked like without being styled, and on the spot she touched up the shortest layer so my curls would fall nicely and not bunch up around my jawline. SHE SAVED THE DAY! I was so pleased with her ability to see me so soon and touch up my haircut. Now we know what my layers should look like, and it was such a quick and easy fix.

I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" and let me tell you, my hair has been bleached, cut, colored multiple times at this salon and I've never had any issues with my hair feeling dry, weak or damaged in any way. They know what they're doing, and worth...

Northern Lights is the most beautiful salon I have ever been to, and the women who work there are the most talented in their field. Ashley has been doing my hair for almost three years, and during that time she has given me countless cuts and keratin treatments. When I became pregnant, I could no longer get the keratin treatments, and with short curly hair, I was afraid my hair would become incredibly unruly. Ashley was able to give me cuts throughout my pregnancy that were easy to maintain and wonderfully flattering. After the birth of my baby, my hair became extremely dull, lifeless and coarse. Ashley recommended amazing products that have totally rejuvenated my hair, and also did beautiful highlights to spruce it up a bit after to make me feel like a hot momma. Not only is she incredibly talented, but SO personable and friendly...I love coming to see her! Shannon did my makeup for a party and I was equally impressed with her talent. She didn't just slap it on and send me on my way...she told me which products she was using and why they were good for my skin tone/type, and even gave me a tutorial on how to apply eyeliner, something I've always been awful at!
