Mythic Cards & Games — Local services in Clay

The store is small and becomes crowded easily, but there is so much stock and things to look at that it's always a great experience. The owner and his mother that runs the store are absolute sweet hearts, but with only the two of them you may have to wait a bit for your order. They have a website with live inventory of all of their stock and you can place online orders. But be aware that they do not know about the order unless you call ahead and inform them that you placed an online order. I placed an online order unaware of this and was not informed until I arrived at the shop and informed them of my online order placement, luckily it was only about 5 cards so it was an easy pull. Mythic is a great place to go for more unique items that aren't always in store like old pre-cons for mtg, but with so much inventory they aren't always able to find it right away. While I was there I was informed they had an old pre-con I was looking for and I was quite surprised, but they weren't able to locate it while I was there and offered to take my number down and text me when they are able...

The owner was nice but he wouldn't let us look through pokemon binders because he was worried we might try to steal cards. There's also stuff on top of the glass counters so you can barely see the cards in the case. The whole fun of collecting for me is finding the card myself, not just handing somebody a list of stuff I need, so we didn't buy anything. The next place we went let us flip through their hard-to-find-stuff binders and I spent over a hundred dollars on random cards I needed but wouldn't have asked about 🤷🏻‍♀️

Edit for response: I'm also looking for about 200 common cards and about 50 full arts by specific artists, but since the fun for me is finding them myself we only asked about Chansey. We could just order everything of course, but that's so disengaged that it's not even worth it for me. I found a Chansey at the next place we went to so we did end up finishing the base set though. I have a list of places with binders and/or bulk and it will definitely take longer to find cards I need, but the process will be...

Mythic Cards & Games has to be one of the best shops I've ever encountered. You're provided with a large array of gaming products from general items to very rare collectables. The atmosphere is layer out in order to provide a comfortable space for gamers of multiple types to assimilate and relax or compete. Game ethic and sportsmanship etiquette is posted and encouraged properly. My favorite part by far is the staff. You have an owner who shows runs the shop most of the time and a group of the most dedicated and friendly staff in the world.
