I am not big on updating my reviews if I don't have to but this is needed. I went one day and a whole bunch of teenagers were working. The Coke machine was broken and didn't tell anyone just gave out flat cokes. When I had gotten home I found out that one of my BBQ sauce's they gave me had been fermented and all bubble it was so nasty. A couple weeks later I went back hoping to talk to the Owner but his never there in the afternoons, now it's all teenagers. I went away and order a meal in the drive through. As I am waiting the owner does come in but as quick as he came in he left. I end up seeing the had a mirror in the driver through, it looked into the kitchen. Behold there I saw one of the teenagers making my food with "NO" gloves and fingering and my food. When I said something they said the had run out of gloves. First off the owner had been there why didn't you call him have him bring in some much needed gloves. Secondly you could have used tongs and not your grubby fingers and Thirdly you could have at least been writing the date you made your sauce up in the smaller portions so you know when to through them out. Also not even offered a refund and I even asked if I could have the owner's number so I could call and speak with him and they wouldn't even give me that or when he would be in next! I Won't be going back! I work fast food for 6yrs + this totally breaks my heart to see these kind of...

So ,my experience went something like this .... I get to the drive through menu and could not believe the prices .depending on what you want to eat you may need to bring your second born as well. So I settled for the ten count wings do to the fact I Like my second child and the lady got a sandwich for the same reason. As we where asked to pull forward like McDonald's . We waited for a good 30 min .as we awoke from a small cat nap our food was still not there so I grabbed the ticket to call back up the parking lot ...bam there she was a hook like a snow hill....my food ! Mmm! Smeĺls so good! Now don't get me wrong the wings where good but I don't care for sweet meat. But the one I tasted was good until I dumped what was supose to Be a spicy Carolina sauce on it. Suddenly I had desert wings .so to the dog they went . At least I ordered some Mac n cheese, hard to mess that up I thought. So as I reached into my bag filled with disappointment I realized I must have gotten the meal ....because I pulled out a great big side of bagged air.. and to far to turn around and no number to call on the ticket. I could only think to myself that after the unattentive little blond at the window took orders all day I would make sure that there wasn't a number on the ticket either. Hungry people tend to be hangry after 30 45 min and a long ride to still hungry and broke town. Good luck check the order and bring your...

so sad to say this review! :/

we ordered to support them through the road closures in the area after they posted on social media that it was affecting their business. we called and placed the order on a thursday to pickup food on saturday, so 2 days ahead of time.

the lobby was not very clean, the food wasn’t ready at the time of pickup, and the sides were a huge disappointment. we got the family meal. so we ordered and paid for a meal that’s supposed to include enough cornbread for FOUR people, and they didn’t even include it. when we went back inside to get the cornbread that was left out, he said they were out of it and didn’t even offer a refund. in what world do you not compensate someone for something that you didn’t even give them?? we paid extra for mac n cheese, and it was literally noodles in milky water with no flavor… so so bad. the only good parts of the experience were the meat and sauce.

when they were putting together the order, they were scraping the bottom of the pans and making comments about being low and out of food. we ordered 2 days in advance to give them plenty of time to prep and have it ready.

just such a bummer. we used to...

I'm on a road trip and had high hopes for this place, was pretty disappointed. Got two of the two meat platters, so tried the pork, chicken, ribs, and brisket as well as the potato salad, slaw, mac n cheese, collards, and cornbread. The chicken was pretty dry but was good with sauce, the pork wasn't super flavorful and was also somewhat dry. The brisket was the biggest let down, I had heard it was fantastic but if you didn't get any fat, it was dry and crumbled when you took a bite. The ribs were a real standout, would be 5 stars if that's all I ordered. The collards were great (they put some burnt ends in there) but the rest of the sides were meh. The potato salad was fine, the slaw was almost ground up into bits and didn't have much flavor, and I think they forgot to put the cheese in the mac. The cornbread was also cold and tasted like was made days ago. Best part were the portions, gave lots of meat but we paid about 60 bucks. I feel bad not leaving a good review, really wanted to like the place, but the only good things were the ribs and collards and there were some real misses.

Got take out today and had to pull to the window to order as the menu board is apparently out of service. I ordered the loaded pork baked potato and it took a while to wait at the window. Seemed reasonable as it’s a baked potato. Got to my destination to enjoy my lunch and it’s not even a fluffy baked potato at all, but overcooked home fries (potato cubes) that were covered in pork and cheese. There’s no bacon or chives or butter as advertised. I added my own green onions. This shouldn’t be advertised as a baked potato. I should’ve been told they were out or let me know it was a substitution. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here. There’s much better barbecue nearby that will give you what you ordered.

Only 5 minutes off HWY59 and completely worth the stop. Absolute BEST ribs and collard greens I have ever had. Really good Brisket. The baked beans were decent, I like mine sweet but theirs were more savory, just a personal preference. If I didn't live 8 hours away the staff would know my name and I would have my own chair in the dining area. Add this to your list of places you MUST stop at when you're in the area.
