One hike later and I’m officially addicted to hiking! Decided to visit Seattle as a solo trip. What better way to hike an unfamiliar area than with a professionally guided group.

Googled hiking tours and Miles Hike came up. After comparing their outlines/itineraries and stalking their Facebook and Instagram pages I decided this may be a safe bet. IT WAS and I loved it!

The guides are young, modern, energetic and diverse…which is everything I love. Not to mention our guide (Mike) was so accommodating! Our group was four females ( I didn’t know any of them but they turned out to be wonderful people and we even met up for drinks after!!) and he was so patient and kind working with us. No rush, no delays, no awkward conversation. Mike provided a great hike, a great ride from the pick up location, took covid safety seriously (which I respect and loved), gave great details about the area and nature during our entire trip.

As a single traveling female I felt safe and would absolutely recommend trying this out. It was reasonable in price and the time for the hike was perfect (still allowing you to get out and explore Washington after the hike).

A quick run down of the day: -Met up at designated pick up location (7:45am) -Did a quick meet and great -Emailed the night before where the hike would be taking place (based on suggestions and skill level/ but apparently Washington is one big nature field so anywhere will be great) -made quick stop at grocery store for bathroom break and personal snack/ lunch pick up -hiked/had lunch -returned to car (stretched/ bathroom) arrived...

Nice little local operation that “does what it says on the time”. Over in the US on a business trip, I had one free day to experience Washington state and didn’t want to take the risk of working out my own route and logistics and not making the most of the opportunity. unlike many of the other options, MHC offered an itinerary that was mostly hiking; 35 mins after setting off we were in the hills, on a very pleasant 7 mile, 4 hour (plus water/refreshment stops) climb up/ down Mount SI. Amazing views at the top!

Great service in terms of suggesting a route suitable for the fitness levels of the whole group, which in our case was four people. Our guide, Connor, ensured that we had sufficient water and nutrition, and led us up the mountain and down, while also doing a great job of integrating the group, and it turned out to be a very pleasant and sociable experience, despite my not previously, having known any of the other walkers.

This activity helped me make the most of a rare opportunity to visit Washington, and take advantage of some local knowledge. Thoroughly...

I signed up for what I thought was a group hiking tour, but it turned out to be a private tour for one (me) nobody else had signed up for the tour. I’m very impressed with Mile High Hiking, Co. for not canceling the tour all together. My tour guide was Connor and he was very pleasant, and willing to go at my place. We started off by discussing the type of hike I wanted to do and what was more important for me to see, lakes, waterfalls, forest, when we decided where we were going we got in a Toyota Highlander and headed out that way. I highly recommend this company for anyone who is ready for a not so easy hike. We climbed up to bridal Vail Falls with approximately 12,000 feet of elevation. It was a tough hike but very enjoyable. I give Connor five stars but I would’ve enjoyed a little bit more Seattle history and nature talk. we had a pleasant conversation about the thing we had in common, which is running. I highly recommend this tour group. And you should book directly...

Booby was a fantastic guide on our hike up to keekwulee falls via Denny creek trail. He engaged and chatted with everyone on the hike, making sure nobody was left out on the experience. Made sure we completed the hike safely and left with more information than we started with! Would highly recommend Miles hike club to anyone planning on visiting Washington.

Loved our hike with James (Booby) last weekend! From the booking process, to the hike selection, to pick up, to hiking, to drop off, all of it was seamless from a customer standpoint. The attention to how you want to spend your day and the options for different hikes ensures you have the experience you want to have. What sets this apart though is the knowledge of nature and the friendly disposition of our hiking guide. He made sure we went at a comfortable pace, shared fun facts about Seattle nature, took photos, encouraged us to really soak in the moments we had, which made for a perfect Saturday. I would highly recommend Miles Hike Club to anyone looking to hike around Seattle, no matter your experience level.
