Paellaworks was a highlight of our wedding day, and honestly, one of the most memorable parts of the entire weekend! From the very first conversation, Russell and Morgan made the planning process easy, collaborative, and exciting. They walked us through their menu options - from appetizers to salads to their signature paellas - and helped us craft a meal that was both impressive and inclusive.
On the day of the wedding, Paellaworks arrived right on schedule (despite the added challenge of taking a ferry to our venue on Guemes Island) and seamlessly got to work. They set up their iconic paella pans right on the beach, and from the start of cocktail hour, our guests were completely captivated. Whether it was watching a full salmon being expertly filleted or chatting with the team about their process, the live cooking element added such a fun, interactive touch to the evening. It wasn’t just a meal… It was part of the entertainment!
We chose to serve three kinds of paella: seafood, meat, and vegetarian - and each one was phenomenal. Every dietary need was thoughtfully accommodated, and there truly was something for everyone. The food was vibrant, flavorful, and beautifully presented. People raved about the meal all night and well into the next day. (We’re still dreaming about the steak and chimichurri tapas!)
Paellaworks didn’t just feed our guests, they helped create an atmosphere of warmth, flavor, and celebration. We are so grateful for the experience and would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone planning a wedding or special event. We can’t wait to visit one of their local events and have their food again!

Read moreWe booked PaellaWorks for our wedding in Ferndale in June 2024, and had an incredible experience with them! Chef Russell was so communicative and helpful right from the moment we sent our first inquiry. Talking through what quantities, apps, and paella types was super helpful and made the process much less daunting.
On the day of the wedding, Russell and his team showed up and absolutely hit it out of the park - you can tell they are a well oiled machine for feeding large groups of people, and being convivial while doing it. Our guests loved interacting with their chefs and watching the paella cook before dinnertime! It was amazing kitchen theater for our wedding reception! The catering team did an incredible job moving through ~140 people SO QUICKLY. I've been to weddings where it took a longggg time for folks to get through buffet lines, but our line moved so quickly people barely had to wait. And on top of all this, the food is absolutely delicious! You can tell Russell & co. have perfected their craft and make a killer batch of paella, charcuterie, apps, etc. Highly recommend this crew for weddings and...
Read moreI am a Seattle-based wedding planner and recently worked with the Paellaworks team on behalf of a client's intimate wedding. My couple was planning an elegant vineyard wedding and wanted to serve an abundant, delicious meal to their families that provided sustenance and entertainment. I immediately thought to recommend Paellaworks based on the experiences of other industry professionals. Russell is a very passionate chef and brings an element of food entertainment to every event. Making the meal an interactive element of the wedding experience is a largely-lost art, but not at Paellaworks. The family had a great time watching the food preparation at cocktail hour, asking question, and enjoying the delicious meal to follow. I have since hosted other events with the Paellaworks team over the years and can vouch for their attention to detail, consistency, and hospitality. I heartily recommend working with Paellaworks for any event and look forward to the opportunity to...
