When people have dinner at our house, they always have one question. Where did you get this beef? Post 5 Cattle Co. is the easy answer. I'd been looking for a farm to table rancher for my beef and am delighted to have discovered Post 5. The difference in quality is impressive; so much so that we just wait for the question. 90% of the time the question comes after the first bite. We haven't had anyone ask after the dinner table was cleared.

The other thing we appreciate is the packaging. Our family is small and we don't have a big freezer so it takes us a while to go through a 1/4 beef. When I was a kid those last packages from the freezer had to be prepared in a way to compensate for freezer burn. This is not an issue with the way Post 5 meat is packaged.

Lastly, we are really happy that we have a chance to support a family business. Three generations of growing experience in the business. An education from the finest agricultural university in the world. Keen attention to detail on the customer service side all combine to give this business a five star rating. We've had a "highly recommend" experience with every purchase from Post5 Cattle Company. Their online ordering process is very easy, they communicate well with their customers, the beef is very professionally packed and always arrives in perfect condition. Most of all, we love the taste and tenderness of the cuts - awesome. We just received a box and had a couple of the NY strips last night: amazing. Nice thickness in the cut so you can get a good sear on the outside and hit a perfect medium rare on the inside. The owners were educated at Washington State University's programs for beef production and related large animal programs, a recognized leading institution in the field and practice sustainable land friendly, cattle friendly methods, employing technology to run smart. Our 1st order was a "special", received fairly promptly at our home frozen recently; ate the brisket last night after a day in the crock-pot with some cut-up onions... it was 'Delish" almost fell apart with a fork; reasonable prices for the quality. I think this young family, in addition to everything else in their lives, runs this small business all themselves from taking and filling orders, managing the livestock, even answering all their message traffic; so there's a personal touch - don't expect big corporate resources and contracted answering services.
