After speaking with a very friendly receptionist Nancy and getting a price for a gel manicure $35 and a pedicure for $30 I thought well let's give this place a try. Just like so many others who are looking for a nail shop that does a good job at a good price; I to fit into that category and I'm still looking. I booked an appointment with Linda and when I went, the first lady that approached me was very rude. (Vivian). She proceeded to tell me that I would be having Linda and that it would not be $35 that was for a normal manicure without gel it would be extra money for French extra money because my nails were long, extra extra extra!!! When I walked in you could feel the tension in the air the only person in that place that was friendly was Tina. Linda when she proceeded with my gel manicure as she was buffing with her electronic file, she brought them so far down that 3 of my fingers were hot and burning. Also my fingernails are naturally curved and when she was done buffing them they were flat as a board. I commented on this and so she added a little more acrylic to fill to round them out. Thtis not how you bring your nails back to normal shape. when she was cutting my cuticles she clipped two or three fingers so short that they burned from the acetone and started bleeding. And last but not least, when she was filing the nails she filed One nail so ruff and so hard that I had two bleeding cuts on it. Needless to say I was very disappointed. I did tip generously for the service even though I feel they should not have gotten any tip and I should not have had to pay for the friggin mess that she did. I guess I am back to finding another nail salon that will be a little bit more professional and more safe...
Read moreThis used to be my go-to place. I had a horrible experience with my friend for her wedding nails for her and her bridesmaids. The brides pedicure didn't even fully get done. They missed the scrub on one foot/leg, and they didn't file any of the rough spots. The bottom of my foot got sliced when she was filing it. She also cut my toe when preparing my nails. When I got my nails done, I asked for a gel French manicure with pink and white with glitter. I've gotten this many times with gel, dip, and acrylics. My nails turned out white. I mean totally white with no sparkle. I wasn't the bride. 😬😳. I told her repeatedly that wasn't what I wanted and she kept going. My friend even tried and said she wants pink and white with sparkle. She said yes, it would be. No, it was not. I said I wanted it taken off. I didn't want it, and I was going to have to get them removed and redone. She said it's OK. I said it is not at all ok. I said I'm definitely not paying for white tips cause they are all white, and you can't see them. She grabbed my credit card out of my hand 😳 I lost it. I decided never to go back and just let it go without reviewing. Since this was a couple of months ago and I got a gift certificate for Christmas, I thought I'd give them another chance. They have moved while preparing a new location. They are in a ridiculously small location that appears to have two nail salon businesses in it. There are never openings to even use my gift card. I feel like I'll stick with my initial choice and never go back. I DO NOT recommend this salon. With all the other choices out there, choose better than I did,...
Read moreI have found my new home for manicures and pedicures! It was time for a change of shop for me. I had started having reactions (red cuticles, inflamed and extremely itchy skin surrounding my nails) about 12-24 hours after my powder manicures. My technician at my previous shop had no idea why and so kept doing the same process, and my reaction got worse. I feared I was going to have to stop altogether. Today as soon as I sat down at Vivian's station and started talking about it, she asked me a few questions and ascertained that they were leaving my nails wrapped in acetone-soaked cotton too long to remove the previous manicure. Her obvious concern was refeshing, rather than the shoulder shrug I got from my last shop. Vivian did a different process to remove my last powder manicure and told me to call her if I have any reaction "because we need to figure out what is happening." She was friendly, easy to converse with, and took awesome care of me. She cleaned up my cuticles (never included at my prior shop), treated the surrounding skin with Vit E oil without my asking (which I always had to request previously), and massaged my hands and arms at the end of the manicure (never included at my other shop). My nails look lovely and I am thrilled with the care and service I...
