Right in the middle - some might say the beating heart - of Cleveland, Tennessee - just walking distance South of Lee University - on the very same side of the street, even - lies a place called Ocoee Cigar Lounge. I have been to this place twice, and I don't know if it's the clientele, the selection of beers, or the people who run the place, but this is THE PLACE for Cigar folk to be in Cleveland, Tennessee, whether you live there, or if you, like I, just happen to be a guy from Alabama (or Mississippi, or Kentucky, or Georgia, or further-flung regions of Tennessee... I don't discriminate... Roll Tide), in the area, and scouting Cigar Lounges. Ocoee Cigar Lounge also has a great appreciation of our nation's military, be you Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, or, like me, Army, you can count on being welcome here. First the filter system is not great if more than a couple of people have a cigar going it gets very smokey. The people that come there on a regular basis can be "stand offish" to new people and makes you feel like an outsider. Most of the cigars are on the strong side but after purchasing a few on my first couple of visits I brought a couple of my own milder cigars, but I got the comment "you know we sell cigars here". That made me decide that if I want to smoke cigars I like guess I will smoke them someplace else. I did spend money there but I guess I didn't spend enough. Also using street parking it is so very hard to park anywhere close...
