I’ll start by stating that I have no breathing issues or other related health problems. My dad enjoys the salt cave and wanted me to join him. Willie is the owner and receptionist. He greets you and has a wealth of knowledge regarding the medicinal benefits of salt and salt lamps. There are a variety of salt lamps available for purchase.

The session is 50 minutes long. The salt room’s walls and floor are completely covered in salt. You relax in reclining zero gravity chairs. There is light instrumental music playing in the background. For maximum benefit, it is recommended that you take off your socks and shoes and wear shorts and a tee shirt.

This is the best place to relax in Clifton, NJ. Whenever I am in the Nutley, Bloomfield, and Fairlawn, NJ area, I always stop by. The Salt Cavern Wellness Spa is conveniently located near my primary doctor's office at their Clifton, NJ location so I am very familiar with the area. I visit very often for my severe asthma and allergies and it greatly alleviates my sinus pressure. If you are looking for things to do to help you relax, breathe better, and sleep better, this is the place. I'm looking forward to getting the full spa wellness treatment next time I go. They let me inspect the sauna before I committed to making an appointment. The place is clean and the staff are very gracious and helpful. I wish the hours were more accommodating to working people, like being open at 8am or until 8pm more frequently. It's not easy to book appointments because I work 9-5 and they only are open until 8pm on Thursdays. That leaves me the weekends, which makes it difficult to realize results from doing the infrared sauna on a more regular basis. I hope they read this and consider making changes to increase their business. I wonder how many people do not call because they realize the place is closed before and after work...
