This review is only for the pharmacy. Unfortunately, my experience here has been very disappointing. The staff often come across as dismissive and passive aggressive, which makes an already stressful situation even harder.
I called today to check on the status of my prescription after receiving a text saying it was delayed. I simply wanted to know why; was it an insurance issue, or did I need to call my doctor? Instead of giving me an answer, the rude pharmacist repeatedly cut me off saying, “wait for a text. I already told you, wait for a text.” She wouldn’t let me finish speaking and when I went in person to pick up my prescription she refused to come out and speak with me, leaving her staff to deal with me, which they weren’t too happy about either. They kept passing my prescription to other staff to assist me.
I truly hope management provides the pharmacy staff with better customer service training. Patients deserve to feel cared for, not dismissed. In a pharmacy setting—where patients are already dealing with health concerns, I think empathy, patience, and good communication should be a priority.
Edit: I spoke with the store manager, Craig, and explained my situation. He was very helpful, apologetic, and understanding! Overall, I have nothing bad to say about the general store associates. They are very helpful but I will not be returning to this pharmacy. They...
Read moreI’ve never once written a “customer complaint” note like this in my life, but this situation was shocking. My Dr. sent my prescription to this pharmacy on Thursday at 8:30am, and it is now Saturday. When I called this morning to ask about the status of my prescription ahead of traveling, the woman I spoke to said I would “just have to wait until I receive a text message” with no day or time estimate. I asked if they could fill it within the next few hours since I have waited days and can’t be off of it for extended periods of time…and she hung up on me! I tried calling back and she kept hanging up on me. I also had a important question for the pharmacist about my medication, but she keeps hanging up without even answering the phone. So now I can’t get through to the pharmacy I trust with my prescriptions. I understand the pharmacy is being stretched beyond its capacity these days, but being blatantly rude and unprofessional to customers who are trying to get important medications they have been waiting DAYS for, and continuing to hang up on them, is absolutely awful customer service and completely unacceptable. Someone simply trying to get medicine from a pharmacy should not be treated like dirt. Rudy, the pharmacist, is super nice and on top of things, but the folks who work for him make Walgreens a bad place to get your...
Read moreThe only reason why I gave two stars instead of one is because they always were consistently efficient. There were never any lines and I never had an issue with my prescriptions. They were always informative and very helpful. Not sure what happened in the past two months- but they hired someone completely unprofessional. She refused to refill a prescription which prompted my doctor to have to send a refill again to the pharmacy. When I called to check the status, the young woman laughed vocally over the phone at me asking if there is an issue with the new refill request. Obviously, I'm aware it was JUST sent, but since I have been having issues with this pharmacy accepting the refill, I wanted to be proactive and make sure there isn't a problem with getting the order. I've already missed one dose of this medication that I need to take once a day. I undestand mistakes happen, but the fact that the girl audibly laughed on the phone at me was...
