I just moved to Clinton and this was the ups drop off point. I wasn't greeted right away and that's ok, social distancing I supposed. The package required a photo of which is understandable but I had not gone to DMV due to the obvious pandemic... I did show proof that it is my address with a receipt of an oil company other bill emails. What I am assuming is the manager was not really trying to hear my story. I was being super polite as I know how it is with packages. He said I needed to have a print out not email and then he said the name on the package doesn't match mine. He then ask me why my daughter's last name didn't match mine. I said her father and I aren't married... He told me she had to be there, I said she's 9. She's not going to have a photo id. I also showed her google classroom for proof of the first name on the package and she's my daughter....
I think he was really irritated , he finally allowed me to sign and walked away. No thank you no speech... Just walked off and steamed behind the other side of the counter. I wasn't sure if we were all set so I left. I do appreciate the store extra security on...
Read moreQuaint little store with all the usual offerings of snacks, drinks, and other random convenience store items you might need... But then there's a delightful deli counter that offers fresh cold cuts, as well as offering a mouth-watering selection of marinated meats. To top it all off, they have a marvelous selection of liquor, beer, and wine at fairly unbeatable prices. If you've a hankering for ice cream, bacon, and a good drink to wash it all down, this is your town go-to.
UPDATE: The staff has never been anything but exceptionally kind to me. They are attentive and, when they are busy, they make an effort to open another register so people can move along. There's one fella in particular--he wears a Minions beanie--who is always so incredibly nice to me that I cannot thank him enough. The young ladies who work there have always treated me with polite kindness.
Also, I know it's silly, but their tuna sandwich is hands-down my favorite...
Read moreI hate going to this place because the cashiers are always so rude!!! I was scolded for the pkg I was returning that wasn't closed. I tried to explain that I thought the last time I returned something they told me not to close it, and she cut me off, telling me "no, we didn't say that." How does she know, she wasn't there at that specific time! She told me "this isn't a UPS store, there's one in Hudson " then she whipped out some packing tape and sealed the envelope shut. If she didn't want to do it, she could have just said "sorry, you'll have to seal it. She never smiled once. Just miserable! It's just always unpleasant because they're so rude...
