I’m an elderly woman and my daughter and I went to Big Sandy in Pikeville Ky to purchase a sectional for my living room. The sales lady showed me the sectionals that were in stock and after looking at all of them, I made the decision to purchase one. The sectional that I purchased (financed), was shown to me as a sectional and priced as one price for all three pieces. I talked to Brad in financing and at the end of our conversation I asked him if I needed to sign anything and he said “nope, I’ll take care of it.” The sectional was delivered on a Wednesday without the wedge piece (which makes it a sectional). I called the Pikeville store and was informed that I had to purchase all three pieces of the sectional separately. Their online ad shows only one price for all the pieces and it’s sold as a sectional. The showroom floor piece that I looked at was all three pieces put together and sold as one price. No one ever informed me that I would have to purchase a wedge piece separately and no one ever informed me that the wedge piece wasn’t in stock and would take five weeks to come in. The sales lady even admitted to making a mistake by not informing me, and when Brad gave me the price for my financing, he never gave me two different purchase prices for the couch and for the loveseat. He gave me one total price. Now they are saying my paperwork is online and they still haven’t sent me anything. They are trying to adjust my price so that I will have to purchase the wedge piece before I get it. I’ve told them to come and get the furniture because they will not take accountability for their mistake and are trying to make me pay for something that they did wrong. Read moreMe and my partner were looking for a new bed for our new queen mattress that was purchased. The salesperson in the store was very friendly, the staff were very curteous. We purchased a bed had a delivery date set up. All was well. However, on the delivery day, the bed could not be assembled, due to the fact that the bed is missing components to actually put it together. So now, I have a bed that cannot be assembled and is missing parts now. I called customer service the day of delivery about the issue, and I was promised a call back because they said they had to send paperwork to corporate. They said that would take 2-3 hours. I was not contacted again about the issue like they promised me so now, I have a bed that cannot be put together, and is missing components to be put together, so now I don't have a bed. This is unacceptable not only because of the bed, but due to the lack of communication as well. This has been a very aggrevating experience for me and if I had known that this was going to be that much trouble, I would have not went there. I am sincerely feeling very angry and distrustful of their store and customer service now.
UPDATE EDIT: The superstore has tried to correct my inconvenience, but as of today the new date of my delivery, the bed was not on the truck. So, I asked for a refund and for them to pick up the un-usable bed. They picked up the bed, and they said they are working on my refund. They said they are sending me a gift card for my troubles. So, I am back to square one with no bed. If you are looking to buy from this superstore please use caution if you are purchasing a bed. Read moreBought a living room suit, it started pulling apart at the seams, had a tech come out to look at it. Ended up having to have it re upholstered. Then the same thing seams start unraveling once more. Called back sent another tech and he said its not worth the time to re upholster. So they send pictures in and say they are gonna replace the couch and love seat. Well they arrive on the truck totally different color and one was power reclining and one wasn't, ours were all power. Sent them back, then come to find out the color had been discontinued and no longer available. After 4 1/2 months they gave us store credit, so we picked out another couch and love seat, gave us a date and time window for delivery and we set at home all day with out a call only a automated text saying they were delayed about 4 hours before the time frame gave expired. Waited 1 1/2 hours after time frame called back said the truck was running behind and gave us another hour, waited called back after that time expired said still several stops upfront of us, I asked why no-one called to update us said well we should have. Yea after seven hours they could have told us something.. Hopefully the units will be what we ordered, still waiting on truck and its 7pm.... lady told me would be tuesday before they could come back if i wanted them too, I told her we had this scheduled for a week, and this is saturday. I would not recommend BIG SANDY for anything they SUCK!!
