El Picante — Restaurant in Coal Run Village

Looked like a nice place, waiter was friendly but seemed to be in no hurry to seat us or take our order. Food looked good but didn't taste so great because there was an overwhelming presence of Cumin in the hamburger meat, and the enchilada and burrito sauce was too sweet and didn't taste good at all. The salsa was another disappointment, flavor was very tomato tasting and they don't bring any extra to refill your dipping dish when empty. If you run out of your drink, you will have to wait a while until anyone comes by to check on you and offer you a refill. I will have to say that this is the worst Mexican restaurant that I've visited and I've been to almost every Mexican Restaurant east of Lexington. While I can’t speak specifically to the experience one might have dining in (we are from out town), I can say that if it is anything like the service we received with our catering order for my baby shower, it must be outstanding. I can’t speak highly enough of this place regarding our order today. We ordered a taco bar for 25 people and the price just couldn’t be beat. It included meat, rice, toppings, salsa, sour cream, cheese, and tortillas. They even put plates, forks, and serving spoons in a bag for us. The servers also helped my husband carry everything out to the car to load it. Everyone bragged about the food and it was really good. They made feeding 25 simple and tasty....

Went back thru to pick up once afterwards was told not ready yet left again to pick up another order for kids from little Caesars and come back a second time to be told I have it to you already and I informed them no you didn't and he accused me of being a thief and and had a attitude with me and he stated he would look at the video and I told him to do so please and he didn't so I demanded a refund.
