This place used to be the best. I don't know what happened, but they went way down hill as far as basic hygiene, food safety, and Customer service goes.
First of all, my co-worker is a vegetarian. She notified them prior to placing an order and asked for her food to be prepared separately because she can't have meat proteins. They ended up cooking her food on the same grill, with the same utensils, as the meat without cleaning it.
After discussing the matter with the wait staff, she was told her food would be prepared separately on another grill across the restaurant. She was watching them the whole time and they did it again! She had to have them remake it a third time! So It'snow we've been waiting over an hour for veggies! Clearly this place isn't concerned about food safety.
Now for the worst of it (if that isn't bad enough). After dinner, I went to the bathroom. While I was in there the sushi chef came in, urinated, and left without washing his hands! He went right back to his station and started preparing food!
Someone needs to shut this place down. They clearly aren't concerned about maintaining sanitary practices and the safety of their customers who can't eat meat.
After discussing the matter with the manager, she made it clear she didn't care. No Apologies. No concern. Nothing. All she wanted to talk about was how they followed their policies.
If you're inclined to go here, you should reconsider. Maybe the meat thing isn't a concern to you, but you don't want the sushi chef's junk all...

My server had no idea what was on the sushi menu or what nigiri is. Poor training by management. Sushi took too long due to lack of staffing at the sushi bar. Guy was incredibly slammed and hustling to stay caught up. 0 good beer or sake options. Have an ipa on tap or maybe have some good unfiltered sake as an option? The final straw was having my server grat me 18% automatically. I wasnt at a hibachi table, i was alone. He would have scored 20% no matter what but i guess he dodged that.
