Well first they only race 1/8 scale and oval So the classes lack variety. But other than the lack of classes they have well maintained oval tracks and off-road tracks. But their rookie class is strange. They will tell you a car you want to buy fits in the rookie class (like my Traxxas Rustler) and then when you get to the track the rookie class never has enough people to race. This is a common problem
Besides that the place is really a really good hobby shop. They recently got rid of the crawler course but their other classes are going strong. The staff sometimes don’t always know what they’re talking about though, some of them are just their to help with the train and airplane guys, and don’t know to much about the cars. If you need help with cars I would recommend either Adam or the track owner himself (as if 2019).
And finally to the service. It is questionable, They seem to just give you the most obvious answer and push you along to take care of the next guy. If you go there, you should know what you want to buy and what your going to do ahead of time. If you want to make an oval car out of an old b3 you need to watch some videos on YouTube and figure out what the class rules are, then go to the track and buy all the parts you need knowing what you need.
Also they will do repairs on your cars for you if you pay them. They don’t really have a clear way of charging you for labor, but it’s pretty fair. Also if you buy a car from them they will put new connectors on it for free, and you can buy cars though the store from them and they will find ways to get to car your looking for from reliable websites.
Overall I rate the place as 3 stars only because the classes are hard to get into as a beginner, and they kinda expect you to know everything. It’s not a very kind shop for beginners, but it’s still a great shop if you know...
Read moreGreat hobby shop and track! Been here several times and they never disappoint. Always helpful with any questions you have and the store is well stocked considering the size of the shop. They carry a ton of great hobby grade vehicles AND the parts to fix them if you break something. The staff also does repairs for a small fee if you don’t know how to do something yourself. Their R/C stuff is far better quality than buying the garbage from amazon or the big box stores that typically breaks and can’t be fixed. They also run a great race program here as well and always welcome beginners to the sport. Nice to see some good hobby shops are still around. Highly recommend checking this place out....
