After being a Kohlâs customer for 20 years, today I made the decision to never step foot in their store again. Kohlâs has gone downhill over the past couple of years and I am finally DONE.
Today, I was treated with such disregard and met with a manager who was willing to do NOTHING to help me. Absolutely NOTHING. Every solution I came up with was turned down.
After sending me a horrible product I ordered online, I went into the store to return it. The product I ordered was supposed to be a bath rug but it was thinner than a washcloth from the Dollar Store. The quality was insulting. I cannot imagine stepping out of a shower onto this. Iâd be better off with a towel on the floor.
So, when I tried to return it, they told me that because I got Kohlâs cash with my large order (that included 7 other items that I kept), that they were only going to give me $3 for a $40 product. They were going to take back every single dollar I earned in Kohlâs cash, in ACTUAL cash from my pocket. I was appalled. Shouldnât you pro-rate it and only take away the amount this one product would take away from the sale? Nope. Kohlâs takes it ALL.
I suggested just giving me store credit rather than a refund. Nope. The store manager wouldnât do that. I then suggested letting me go find a bath rug I liked better and doing an exchange. Nope. They wouldnât even do an exchange. They would not do a single thing to remedy the situation. NOTHING!!!
I will NEVER spend another dollar at that store. I will be filing a BBB complaint about the scam they are running with their Kohlâs cash return system. Nobody should be treated the way I was treated. Please avoid this store at all costs. They do NOT deserve...
   Read moreProbably the worst customer service experience we've ever had from any company. Long story short: 20+ years as a Kohl's customer. We got a bill recently, sent a check, check was CASHED by Kohl's a week before the due date (we have the bank statement to prove it), and Kohl's claimed they never received it. (Which they still claim!)
So, they charged us interest and a $25 late fee. This, over a $65 bill.
When we called (repeatedly), they said there was nothing they could do; so we took our bank statement to this store (where we did all of our Kohl's shopping) and they verified the bank statement, but still Kohl's corporate said there was nothing they were willing to do.
Now, we have a bad mark on our credit, we are out almost $90 (for the fees, the bill we paid twice and interest). We cut up our Kohl's card and will not be shopping here ever again.
Again, all of this over a $65 bill from a 20-year customer who has never even been late.
Kohl's either credited the wrong account with our check or someone in their processing department purposely directed this tiny check somewhere else. None of this matters, because Kohl's is unwilling to do anything to resolve this - putting all the burden on us while ignoring the actual proof...
   Read moreBad customer "service". After waiting in line at the return counter, one lady walked up on the side and was immediately helped. Then someone else walked up on the side and went to an open counter. They were starting to be helped. Up until this point there was one line with people in it. An associate at the counter announced she would be taking specific returns and asked if anyone had one of that type. At this point I had walked up to the counter with a cashier space in front of me but no cashier. Someone back in the line said they had that type of return. The cashier started talking to them. So now that is three people who skipped over me after I had waited my turn. I waved my hand and looked at that cashier. I said it was my turn and other people had already gone before me and skipped ahead. Nothing, except she announced that another cashier could go to lunch. I left. I called the manager from the parking lot. She said she would come to my car. I could not wait any longer. She didn't ask who did not help me. I doubt she will say anything to the people...
