Community Library Network at Hayden — Attraction in Hayden

I love this cozy library. I visit there a couple days a week. They have a great selection of every book you could possibly want and the building itself is very inviting. Their children's area is like a little wonderland with a gorgeous mural and fun little shelves for young kiddos. Plus their used book shop has a lot of great titles for $1. Be sure to look at their sale carts!! They often have great titles and sales going on. Earlier this year they had a sale of 4 children's books for a dollar! Right now there's a sale rack by the self checkout area that has great titles in the large print format.

So it's October 8, 2025 and we've all made it through The Transition. The wonderful Staff at this Library were so kind to me about answering my numerous emails about the changes. I stopped in here yesterday afternoon and happily browsed around in the cozy children's area and some of my favorite authors for adults. The Library was homey and peaceful as always and I had a very friendly conversation with one of the Librarians who was shelving books in the children's area. Their end caps were full of interesting books and I had a relaxing, fun, and rejuvenating experience as I always do at this friendly, neighborhood Library. Here's to the future, guys!...

We have had a great experience at this library. Thank you to the staff for being patient with my 4 young children. They have a lot of energy and love coming to pick out books. I try to keep up with them but they do get away from me and so far everyone has been very gracious and I feel welcome. We are excited for the summer fun at the library! My only other comment is I have noticed quite a few politically charged children books on display and throughout. I'm undecided if that is fine with me so long as all perspectives are presented in the selection or if politics should just be left out of the children section. It's just getting so tiresome. I think we're rather spoiled in CDA and Hayden with two great public libraries but I really have to give the Hayden library kudos for all the great community outreach/extracurricular programs they offer especially for the younger kids in our community.
