Carolina Kernels — Local services in Columbia

WOW! I would love to share My Carolina Kernels experience. So a business partner and I recently stopped by a new Hotel on TAYLOR St in Columbia SC. This hotel was unique and the energy of the receptionist was amazing! The receptionist asked if I’d like to try some Carolina Kernels Popcorn. I denied the offer at first, the amazing receptionist made a promise that I would love them. So I took her word for it and I walk out the hotel with my very first pack of Carolina Kernel Popcorn.

Later that night my partner and I wanted to try the Popcorn. I believe the flavor was Carmel Pecan not sure of the name, so we begun D.W.E.P "Driving while eating popcorn” and many of you have tried this more than once in your lifetime, epic right!!

Long story short, we drove around Columbia SC looking for this Popcorn in stores after hours, however we were unsuccessful.

So a week passes by and my partner and I still wanted more of this Popcorn. We finally stopped by the store and purchased a bag of popcorn from a selection of over 15+ flavors.

The website definitely needs updating as there are many other flavors available than what are on it, as well as the 3 treat box not being available. Basically, just go to the store if you can... It would definitely be worth your time. The amount of options is a bit overwhelming. Be prepared for them to not have something as they make in small batches- one of mine was not available and had to come back on a later day. I do like that you can try before buying a bag because they're not cheap.

I bought a couple bags as gifts for a popcorn lover; Blazen cheddar, cookies n' cream, chocolate drizzle. I bought a bag for my friend and I to try; dill pickle. The Blazen cheddar definitely had good flavor and heat behind it. Cookies n' cream was a good dust with some cookie pieces. Chocolate drizzle was good with a thin hard caramel layer (not sticky/tacky or break your tooth hard) with just enough milk and white chocolate drizzle. I wouldn't have bought the dill pickle as it had very little dill pickle flavor (mostly salt) but I ended up buying for my friend to try.

I LOVE popcorn, especially gourmet popcorn. I didn’t know there was a popcorn store here in Columbia so once I found out, I had to try it. My friend and I stopped by and had no problem with placing our orders. The man and woman there were both friendly and we received our orders quickly. It’s more expensive than regular microwaved popcorn, which is to be expected for such good quality popcorn. The White Cheddar was so smooth and cheesy, while the Cashew Praline was amazing! The bags they gave us were PACKED full! Plus they have a website where you can order online if you can’t make it up to the store. Definitely a 10/10 experience and...
