We went to the park for the Black Pride Festival at the Amphitheater. The seating area was full on debris, luckily we had our lawn chairs. The performances were scheduled to start at 3pm, while there was this excellent DJ that was playing good music, it was announced by the person over the entertainment at 4pm that the show would not start until 5pm. When times and dates are announced, it is expected that everything will start on time. You are wasting people's time when the show does not start as scheduled. Read moreTasty Tomato Festival I was a bit disappointed in the festival. It was spread out all around but there wasn't really enough going on to be spread out so much. There wasn't any info on what was going , when or where. We wanted to see some of the field events but no one seemed to know what field they were on. We decided not to climb the hill to go all the way up where we thought they might be because it was just to hot to climb up there and find nothing going on. The park is nice but very hilly. It's enough so that they were able to put in a nice amphitheater that seats a good-sized crowd. Full disclosure: I paid $7 to get into a cornbread festival (yes, because there are such things) and watched a Prince impersonator sing "Purple Rain" at said amphitheater.
