Pros: Amount of space. Grass. Location. Amenities. Cost is low for a private park.
Cons: They are so strict with implementation of the rules it’s hostile. We love the park itself, but feel like we are being interrogated and our every move watched by the Board of Directors and their friends. For example, we recently went and one of the dogs tried to fight our dog who immediately ran away and did not engage. I was very kind about it and our dog was okay so we just politely walked away. A few minutes later the owners of the same dog came up to us and our friend we let in and told her to physically show her phob or she couldn’t let us stay because she was on the Board of Directors. So, your dog tried to attack mine, but you’ll kick us out for forgetting a phob? How is that okay? It’s just not a welcoming environment. Their rules and their attitude have worn us down and it feels more like military school than a dog park. It’s just...
Read moreI’m happy that my June has a SAFE place to play! For those who don’t think you should have to pay; it’s ONLY $30 a year. That’s $2.50 a month or $.08 a day... that money provides members with key fobs to ensure the park is only used by members so it stays clean and safe for all. It pays for poop bags so you aren’t required to bring your own and it helps pay for the running water within the park so our pups can enjoy fresh water or get a spray down if needed. If you haven’t noticed the park also is well maintained and has benches and play equipment. All which require money to obtain and maintain. STOP COMPLAINING people! NOMA bark park is wonderful; if you’re too cheap to pay an annual fee of $30 go to the free dog parks...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would because it doesn't deserve one. How pathetic and sad that a "pay to play" and "members only" dog park exists in the historically poorest part of the city. I moved away from Columbia 6 years ago and was back around for business with my family and sadly was led to this dogpark by Google maps. I even contacted the phone number and website both of which were poorly managed shells of fake efficiency. Just disgusted by the pretentiousness of it all. The park is literally small, with 1 small play structure, hardly worth a dime. Whoever's idea it was for this is a despicable individual and desperate to alienate the surrounding community with...
