I recently had an outstanding experience with Darlene at the Men’s Wearhouse in Columbia, SC, and I wanted to share just how exceptional her service was. My husband and I were preparing for the 250th Anniversary Ball for Army Chaplains, and we discovered that the black French cuff shirt he had was too big in the neck. We needed a replacement shirt immediately, that same day.
When I explained our situation to Darlene and told her the urgency, she didn’t hesitate for a moment. She jumped right on the phone and started calling several nearby Men’s Wearhouse locations to find the exact black French cuff shirt we needed. When none of the stores had it in stock, she went above and beyond by reaching out to a partner company, Jos. A. Bank Men’s Clothing, and miraculously found the shirt there for us. Thanks to her quick thinking and persistence, guest care service reached an all time high. On top of that, when I purchased a pair of suspenders from Darlene, she carefully had me verify my email address for the receipt and follow-up. It turned out the email on file was incorrect, and before I could correct it, she kindly allowed me to take a picture of the wrong address so I could fix the mistake with the Men’s Wearhouse location in Grand Forks, ND. This thoughtful gesture helped me right a wrong on my part and ensured I could update my contact information properly.
Darlene truly exceeded every expectation with her dedication, resourcefulness, and genuine care. Read moreAbsolutely Horrible Experience from a business that I have purchased items from for years!! On Friday September 6th I arrived to pick up a tuxedo for a wedding on the next day. Upon arriving I was given the tuxedo to try on by the store employee and told by the employee they would assist me on making sure it fix correctly as well as checking me out at register once I came out of fitting room. Upon coming out of fitting room there was no employee to assist me as I was told. After more than an hour of walking around the store wearing a tuxedo that was way to small, I was told the employee that was assisting me had left the store without notice and someone else would assist me. After being assisted by another employee it was determined that the employee who measured me for the tuxedo did it incorrectly!! After waiting at this point over an hour, they were able to alter the sleeves out, however the tuxedo was way to small but I had no choice but to make it work at that point. Upon returning the tuxedo this morning to the store, I was told there would be a late fee charged for $21.00. Just Absolutely unbelievable. There seems to be a problem with the store management, and really caring about the customer and quality service given. I would recommend another location or another company altogether. Read moreI was in the market for a new tux and decided to visit the 5-Points store, after I learned that Ted was the new manager. As a former Tailor Brands employee, I didn’t need much help with working through the custom garment process. However, Joe was extremely gracious to show me some new features with the technology driven software. As additional customers arrived he was polite in asking if he may greet and assist them, while leaving me to ponder and decide on my options. Once my order was completed Joe and Ted kept in contact with me about the status and once it arrived, promptly scheduled the first fitting. The tailor is extremely talented with more difficult aspects of tailoring. The collar of my jacket needed lowered and she was able to tailor it, as if it was bespoke. I made an error with when I needed my tux ready by and the staff was able to move it to a rush job. To top it off the manager, Ted, was so kind to hand deliver my completed tux to my home. Thankfully, I live working biking distance to the store.
