I arrived around 11pm July 3rd after driving from Olathe Kansas. I checked in on the app but for some reason wasn't assigned to a room. I had to go to the front desk. I'm assuming they'd just changed shifts maybe that's why I wasn't assigned to a room although I checked in on the app at least an hour or so prior to me arriving. The whole point of checking in on the app is to not have to go to the front desk so it's an inconvenience. I had to wait for her to assign me to a room I finally get up to my room the air conditioner was not working it was 80° in the room had to walk all the way back down to the front desk with all of my bags. I got back down there I was assigned to another room... However the room did not have a bathtub so I had to walk all the way back down to the front desk once again with my bags and was assigned to another room. I got up to room 254 and before I even checked the room I contacted the front desk to thank her for the upgrade however after I hung up I started to look around and I noticed that the room was not clean. AT ALL! I believe the rate for the room with taxes was around $150 and if I'm paying that much for a room I definitely don't expect to have to clean the bathroom so I can take a bath I was tired of switching rooms so I didn't want to go to another room because I'm sure the other room probably wouldn't have been any better as far as cleanliness goes. The next morning I contacted the front desk and mentioned it to Amanda and she offered to comp the parking fee which is nowhere near good enough. All the trouble that I experienced just getting into a room and then finally getting into a room and it being as dirty as this one was I don't even think I should have to pay for the room at all. I was very tired and frustrated already from a lot of personal issues and this just made it worse. This hotel is not that old so I don't understand why it's in such disarray. The carpets are dirty up and down the hallways there's stuff all over the walls everywhere sure the lobby looks great and the decorations in the hallway on the way to the elevators and everything but the rooms, they need some serious work! I understand it was the holidays and they were short staff but this is just not from one holiday of employees being off work this is from months if not years of just neglect and carelessness. I have attached to some pictures below . Room 254 1-the silverware was just thrown in the drawer The knives were rusty and they weren't clean at all. 2-the wall in the living room area beside the air conditioner and their stuff all over the walls throughout the room. 3-the base of the toilet 4-nothing was restocked there was no cups for coffee there was no coffee there was no sugar. 5-fingerprints on the microwave from the previous guests I assume. 6-the lamp beside the pull out couch 7-the dust from the air filter from the air conditioner in the living room area 8-under the sink in the kitchen area 9-dust on top of the microwave 10-fingerprints on the dishwasher I'm assuming from the previous guests. 11-the shower curtain 12-the shower curtain 13-side base of the toilet 14-there were black fingerprints all over the shower walls The floor hadn't been vacuumed, or swept in what looked like weeks. There was hair every where in the shower & the kitchen floor areas. Both mirrors were dirty . The refrigerator had hair in it. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher..... There was dust everywhere.

My fiancé and I stayed here for about 10 months for his work and you’re treated very poorly by the staff. Mostly after staying here for so long and never causing trouble or being loud etc. we paid for our room everyday, sometimes multiple days at a time and we were consistently treated poorly. If you need to stay here long term DONT. Or at least don’t expect to be treated fairly or respectfully. There were multiple occasions where the staff would purposely come into our room while we were in there. They would knock at the door and I would say “yes can I help you? And they would just keep knocking and not respond, mostly when I know they could hear me screaming yesss can I help you? And they would just barge in. They even barged in a few times and RESPONDED TO ME first, and I would say I don’t need anything, and they would STILL come inside! Even on days where we paid already! They never told us what they wanted or needed. Because we kept our same room for multiple days so we didn’t have to move our belongings everyday, It’s almost like they just wanted to peek inside the room or just be nosey but either way it’s unprofessional. If there is a problem or a concern why couldn’t they address me about it?? There were days where I was in the room undressed or asleep and they still insisted on coming inside! ITS RIDICULOUS. There were multiple times my card was overcharged or I was just charged for multiple days at a time causing my account to sometimes overdraft which is ridiculous. There were MULTIPLE Times where they would assign my room to another guest and they would just OPEN THE DOOR and come inside the room with a key in hand and everything. I had this specific situation happen at least 5 times throughout our whole stay of 10 months. We paid our payments EVERYDAY. Some days my fiancé would be at work and because of the constant random charges and overcharges we had to start locking our cards so we weren’t being charged things that we didn’t approve of. Towards the end of our stay a new supervisor/manager(Rebecca) was hired and because of all of these things mentioned above she said she would not be honoring our money or our stay anymore, because god forbid we complain about being mistreated. I’m still not even sure why? We’re diamond members with Hilton and We paid daily and we never caused problems so I’m not sure why they were always mistreating us. Rebecca is so rude and unprofessional, now I see why all of the reviews are so terrible lately. The establishment is being ran by someone that is just as unprofessional and terrible!!! I can honestly say that there were 1 or 2 genuinely kind and helpful employees. Mrs. Chenetta being one of them. She was a very polite and selfless person and deserves a raise. When the old supervisor/director of operations was there it wasn’t quite as bad, (even though all of these problems still happened and kept happening) but after they left everything went downhill. I can only imagine how much worse it is there now.

This hotel is ran by unprofessional people and something needs to be done about it. They can’t keep housekeepers or workers because the staff is trained poorly and the whole establishment is ran poorly. It’s an embarrassment that they can even get away with doing these things. If it happened to me and my fiancé I can only imagine how many other people they’re harassing and mistreating. Just a heads up to anyone that’s looking to stay here! I’m sure it could seem accommodating for short term but if you’re looking for a place to stay long term I can assure you this will not be a welcoming...

I booked a stay for my parents at Home2 Suites Downtown Columbia, and the experience was unacceptable. Check-in took far too long, and they were even given keys to someone else’s room. Later, their reservation was incorrectly marked as a no-show, leading to a major security issue — on October 11th, another guest named Kevin was able to digitally check in and walk into the room my father was already in.|When I called the hotel to alert the front desk, Atia placed me on hold before I could fully explain the issue. My subsequent calls were disconnected several times, forcing me to physically go to the property to address the matter in person. As a former Front Office Manager, I immediately recognized what had occurred and how easily it could have been corrected with attentive communication. Unfortunately, Atia’s initial approach was defensive and unprofessional, and she appeared to struggle under pressure. To make matters worse, Atia spoke very rudely to my mother during the interaction, showing a complete lack of empathy or understanding for the situation they were in. Her colleague Talia had to walk across the hall due to how nasty the response was. Although she eventually displayed a small degree of empathy after the fact, it came far too late and did not make up for the way she initially treated my parents. Regardless of who was at fault, front desk associates are the face of the hotel, and it is their duty to remain composed, respectful, and solution-oriented—especially when dealing with distressed guests..|Thankfully, Talia stepped in and handled the situation with professionalism and kindness. She is a hardworking, dedicated team member and truly an asset to that property. |This incident shows the urgent need for better training and leadership at the front desk ,staff must be equipped to respond calmly and effectively in high-stress situations.|As for the room itself, while it was generally clean and comfortable, there were a few maintenance issues worth noting. The faucets in both the kitchen and bathroom could be completely removed, indicating they were not properly secured, and the shower water pressure was extremely low, making it difficult to use comfortably. These details may seem minor, but they contribute to the overall guest experience and should be addressed promptly to maintain the property’s quality standards.|This entire experience underscores the importance of consistent front desk training and facility upkeep, particularly in communication, guest safety, and maintenance response. While mistakes can happen, the way they are handled—and the environment in which guests stay—makes all the difference. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback constructively and provides additional training and support to ensure future guests receive the service, comfort, and security Hilton is known for. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR TALIA, SHE SHOULD NEVER BE HAVE TO BE IN A SITUATION WHERE SHE HAS TO APOLOGIZE FOR A COLLEGUES LACK OF HOSPITALITY SKILLS....
