Update 7/2025: They are at it again. Target really needs to get its act together and tell the employees to stop blocking the bike racks with the extra carts. I've done so too many times to count. I no longer cycle for my commuting, but others should not be impeded in doing so. Added photos which were all captured in the last 60 days.
Update: 12/2022: I haven't updated my review in a while, but for the past year there has been interior and exterior remodeling which sadly took out the bike racks. A couple of months ago, one of the Service and Engagement team leads reached out to me about the bike rack situation. The bike racks that were removed during the exterior facelift have been put back. I also haven't run into any issues with shopping carts blocking bike parking either.
I'm updating my review to 5 stars since I can now choose between going in-store and using drive-up services on my bike. Despite the holiday volume this store remains fairly well stocked and clean, better than in months or years past. Hopefully once the holidays are past I can order frozen/fresh goods for drive-up again as the renovations took away some of the space for drive up orders.
Happy Holidays!
Update - 8/2021: After reaching out to Target directly this seems to be resolved (for now, at least) and I can park my bike using the bike racks.
Lately, I've been having issues trying to park my bike here. Dozens upon dozens of shopping carts were being parked in between each of the provided bike racks. A few here or there isn't a problem, but several dozen? Come on. I guess no one told the staff people do actually ride their bike to Target...
This store (#1923) is good, but not exceptional. It's easily the busiest in the area, and things go out of stock or are not carried here compared to other stores. Staff are friendly, the store itself is a bit more organized and clean than it used to be a couple of years ago. I also do drive-up orders pretty often, I can get my order quickly and it is accurate. Once or twice I have gone in to find items on the shelf the website said were in stock but couldn't be located by the shopper. I still prefer #1199 (Columbia NW, in Harbison) because it's so well organized, clean, and well-stocked, but it's hard to beat how convenient the Garners Ferry...
Read moreI will start by saying I like Target and will continue to shop there however I do not agree with their policies. I went to the Garners Ferry store on 6/13/2012 to purchase wicker patio furniture. They had a love seat and 1 chair marked down to $274 and $184 respectively. I needed 2 chairs so the associate used his hand held and showed 2 in stock at the Harbison store. We even called and they said indeed they had 2. I purchased the love seat for $274 and drove straight to Harbison for 2 chairs. They only had 1 and could not locate the 2nd showing in the system. So I decided to purchase their 1 chair and go back to Garners Ferry and purchase their 1 chair. When I looked at the prices, the Harbison store had their love seat and chair marked down to $188 and $124 respectively. When I expressed concern that 30 minutes earlier I bought the love seat on Garners Ferry for $274 vs. their $188 they credited me the difference. I left and drove back to Garners Ferry to buy the last chair they had and asked if they would match the price on Harbison for the same chair. The associate did not have authority and asked for a supervisor who told me they would not because it was technically a clearance item. I nicely asked for the manager on duty to which she did seek. It took about 10 minutes and it was obvious that when the manager arrived she was informed by the supervisor as to the situation and made her mind up before I could even speak. I was told each store can price identical items at their choosing and should not have received a credit on the love seat by the other store. I kept my cool and summed up the situation to her which was 2 Target stores in the same city maybe 15 miles apart each had 1 identical chair priced $50 differently how would she feel if she were in my shoes purchasing from a major chain who prides itself on satisfaction to which she replied call the 800 number and left me. I bought the chair as I needed it and paid $50 more than I would have if the Harbison store had the 2 they showed in stock. I guess I just want to express disappointment in the Garners Ferry Target and give kudos to the Harbison Target and their management staff who does want to satisfy the little guy and make a...
Read moreI visited this Target for the first time on yesterday. I stood in the customer service line for 10 mins while waiting in this line I asked an employee named Paulette who was standing there with a few other women if she had a scanner that could possibly help me find an item so that I could be ready once I got to the register to exchange an item. She quickly said that she did not and that she was not able to help me find that item, and instead told me to go down to look in a particular area and if any are in the store than it should be there. Basically I did not receive any help from her NOT great customer service. Mind you she was doing absolutely nothing when I was there besides just standing not putting away items she wasn't even at the register but only standing in the middle of the store. I did just what she asked of me I went and looked in that particular area the item was not in the area I had to go to a different side I was not able to find the item that I was looking for. I knew that item had to be there because another Target told me that it was at that location. This caused me to lose my place in line as well as time wasted. Once I got to the register a young lady by the name of Quinn assisted me very well. She is the reason I even gave this location the 4stars. Other than that I would have rated it a 1. The young lady Quinn went above and beyond to assist me she went on the floor to look for the item, she found someone to see if that particular item could be located somewhere else, by the time she got back she keyed in something and realized the item was in the back on clearance. Quinn left her station again to go grab the item and came back with the correct item for me. She was very helpful, friendly and she had great customer service skills!...
