I made an online pick up order for just one item and before I confirmed it said “one left in store.” I then get an email saying it is not in store and they would notify me once it’s there. I then call after a few days of not hearing back and the worker explained the item was not on the truck for this weeks load and to call next week to check if it’s there. I proceeded to call back weekly on Wednesday when their truck was supposedly coming to drop off items. Everytime I called Danielle would be the one to answer and she kept telling me the same thing. On the 4th week I called and someone different answered and told me my order was never submitted because supposedly my payment never went through, which I was never notified about. She said the item has been in the store and she will set it aside for me to buy when most convenient. I expected store credit for this great inconvenience since it was prolonged by 4 weeks, but when I went to buy the item they didn’t even apologize. This shows a huge lack of professionalism and I will never be doing a pick up order again due to this...
Read moreVERY RUDE employee. Was shopping there this afternoon, I wasn’t wearing a mask due to the mask mandate being lifted a WEEK AGO by the governor of South Carolina. HOWEVER, the employee told us to put our mask on after she moved a candle display and knocking/breaking half the candles on the display. Without hesitation, myself and my mom put our mask right on. We didn’t say a word, didn’t roll our eyes, we simply obliged with the employee. After that, we went on shopping and as we walked away, a very sweet different employee offered a hand and started sweeping and the RUDE employee (who broke $500 worth of merchandise) said “I got distracted by Anti-maskers” That was her reasoning for breaking the candles. After that, we didn’t even want to shop anymore. The comment was uncalled for and seeing as though when she asked us to put our mask on and we did without questioning her I don’t understand what the rude comment was even needed for. We bought the one, item we came in for instead of looking around and purchasing more. We were...
Read moreLacking customer service! It seems like there’s always someone new working here and when you need help no one knows what to do and/or unwilling to order your item to be shipped to the store. They will tell you to go online and order the item! Because of this, we drive to Lexington where they’re competent and eager to keep business in their store! We ordered $1500 worth of merchandise at the Lexington location after being turned away by the Woodhill location who told us to order everything online. Also did a return last week on a glass mirror that had a crack in it. It took three people to issue the return because it was an online store pick up order. I asked if I could purchase the floor model or if they could order one for me to be shipped to the store since they only had one left and the answer was no. As you can surmise, we drove to the Lexington location and bought the same mirror uncracked. World Market you can thank me for this...
