Anyone who has ever gone to the Jewelers Bench has had the same experience I’m sure of it.
However, I wanted to take the time and share my experience, because it’s the same every time I go there over the many years.
Firstly I like doing business with family owned businesses and people who are experts in their field and Steve Mays the owner of the Jewelers Bench is just this.
He’s a Master Jeweler and although he has employees who do service work Steve doesn’t just own the business he personally does service, repair and he even can make custom jewelry.
I went there to verify the value of a family heirloom wedding ring that I had decided to sell.
Steve went through a detailed inspection and appraisal verifying the weight of gold and diamonds condition of the settings and their value based on the rating of the diamonds.
He then professionally cleaned my ring and put it in a gift box for me with a smile telling me, “there’s no change” it’s rare to find a person like Steve Mays and his girlfriend who assisted and just
Steve and his girlfriend who works there as well greets you like your family and not just a number.
The vibe in Steve’s business is the coolest and most happy vibe you will experience.
There’s always many people in his store when I go there and Steve and his girlfriend are waiting on and servicing everyone without letting anyone go without their attention, you can tell they just love what they do and there’re the best at it.
Everyone was in a good mood not just me and this time I went in there four other people and everyone was smiling , talking and laughing with Steve and his girlfriend and no one felt left out and the total experience is what makes you want to go there.
Simply put The Jewelers Bench and Steve Mays the owner is a testimony to the way business should be ran, if you want to have a great experience with a trustworthy business I advise you go to the Jewelers Bench in Columbia TN when you need anything concerning jewelry, even if they were 2 hours away I would make the drive because I know I’m going to be treat fairly, professionally and...
Read moreI went in to sell an old engagement ring. The guy at the desk never even stood up, but commanded the lady to bring him the ring I had while he smoked on his cigar. He looked it over and asked what I wanted for it. I told him I was curious to see what it was worth. He goes, "I'll give you $50" to which I reply that I couldn't do that because it was a littler lower than what I had expected and he goes, "Fine. I didn't want it anyways" and then made the woman bring me the ring back. Awful customer service, awful appeal - him smoking a cigar with rings on every finger refusing to even stand up and acknowledge he has customers. I won't ever buy anything from him and will also advise others to look elsewhere. Everything he had looked gawdy and like costume jewelry and the things that didn't looked super "blingy" and tacky and in general just overpriced. Definitely better...
Read moreThis is not the place it used to be. My mother in-law dropped by, and the new kid who owns the joint thinks he can weigh a diamond with one measurement, so he told her that her diamond was not the weight she thought it was. She had just had it out into a new setting by Genesis, so guess who was accused of taking her stone and sliding in a smaller one?Well she headed straight to the police department to file a report.
Guess what, you can't weigh a diamond like that. The county called us this morning to inform us this gentleman has no clue what he is talking about, this is something that should be passed on. It's very sad when they tell you to stay clear of a business, it's even worse to accuse a company...
