Worst post office I've experienced. If you are getting any sort of package add a day....or two to the expected delivery date. The supervisor at this office allows the employees to lie to vendors and use the "unable to deliver to location" message in order for them to gain extra time to get their act together. I always get a chuckle when I check the doorbell camera and see the USPS vehicle casually pull up and deliver my regular mail with no cars in the driveway and that message is used.
I also like how their could be a single random car parked several feet past my mailbox on the street, and the postal worker will take the time to leave a "nasty" note saying if my mailbox is continued to be blocked than they will stop delivering and I will have to pick up my mail. Heaven forbid the worker takes 5 steps out of their vehicle to literally do the only thing they get paid for.
On the bright side, you will get to know your neighbors well as mail gets delivered all over the place. Forget that street signs and numbering on houses or mailboxes exist. This office will see to it that they just say $%^& it and deliver your mail to whomever. 86% of my neighborhoods Facebook posts are "I was expecting X package or letter and didn't receive it", and shortly a reply from someone 3 streets away saying they have it.
They should clean house and start at the top of this local office.
It definitely makes any hard working individual wonder if maybe they should have became a postal worker, because they would probably be Postmaster General by now due to all the incompetence and laziness.
UPDATE for 2024 Still a *tty Post Office. I wouldn't recommend sending or receiving birthday cards USPS for this area. Our address now sits at a 40% success rate of either cards we send out being received or receiving cards from others. I guess the reason this post office can never get mail delivered on-time is they are too busy...
Read moreOur postal delivery person is fantastic and does a great job, the problem is when she is off and someone has to deliver the route for her. her. A first grader could do a better job. That is, if they even try to deliver the route. They drive the route and pickup mail and that's all. And on the occasions that they actually do deliver you probably get your mail delivered to another person's mailbox. When I get someone's mail that's not mine I put it in their mailbox and hope to find mine in their box. Never happens though. Again, my delivery person does a fantastic job, but she deserves her time off. I wish they wouldn't even try to deliver the mail when she is off. Just let us know that. I've tried complaining to the supervisor at the post office but she always has a lame excuse. She once told me that the post office was iced in and no deliveries could go out. I told her that I might believe that one had I not driven to the post office and drop the mail in their out box and there wasn't any ice to speak of, she shut the door on me. I have never seen such bad service from a...
Read moreI'll give them a 2 star rating because there are nice people that work there. It's sad and unfortunate that USPS is not held to the same customer standards as other service delivery companies. Their policy to never again drive up my driveway to deliver things that need to be signed for because of my dogs is a one-sided solution. Despite that I also care and support their safety and with today's technology, I can get alerts for the actual delivery day and put the dogs up, their unwillingness to even try to solve the problem is just utterly frustrating and disappointing. I suppose one of us is happy - they get all the money I pay to have it delivered without having to even try to deliver it or work with their customers on solutions. I suspect one day, it won't matter; people will be able to choose their carrier and I'd happily pay a extra for the service FedEx and UPS give (all they do is give them treats); I appreciate they at least see the bigger picture - to deliver their customer's packages - and are willing to try to resolve challenges so we are...
