Update: after the events described below, I received a call from the owner, who apologized for everything that had happened, and offered to provide a free piece of furniture to demonstrate that this was not a regular occurrence. Although the delivery took far longer than I believe was necessary, and the delivery of the free chest was also marred by issues, the assembled pieces look and function as I had wanted when I picked them out. I would say that, when I get furniture here in the future, I will likely just pick it up in store.
Original: I walked out of the store in early August, feeling great: my new bed would be delivered within two weeks to my new house. And even better, after just two days, I was told that every part of the frame was in, and all they needed was the mattress.
Then, three weeks went by with no outreach. I called back to find out that the mattress had arrived (who knows when), and that I could either get delivery tomorrow or over a week later. Sleeping for so long on the floor had me desperate, so I agreed to delivery the next day, and was told that I'd get a call that night about the delivery time frame.
The next day, since no one had called, I called back to learn that the frame, which had been sitting in the warehouse "ready to go," had the wrong rails, so only the mattress and a few pieces could be delivered. Also, despite my request, the delivery could only be done late in the day, overlapping my mom's birthday dinner. I did not get notice of when they were arriving until 5 minutes before.
When I called to complain the next day, the first person I spoke to blamed manufacturers, flat tires, and various other excuses for the delays, and the manager only apologized with a promise to do the job that they were hired to do originally by fast-tracking the new bed. I just found out that the frame will be delivered next week, the end of September, more than a month later than the...
Read moreWe just moved to Columbia, and popped into Nashco of Columbia to check out their pieces. We were immediately greeted by Kay who took extra care and time into helping us pick out our pieces. When I say "extra" I mean it took us over an hour to decide on a coffee table! She really understood what we were going for and helped us piece together our living room. One thing that I loved was that she didn't hover. She would check in from time to time and gave us space to decide on our pieces so we didn't feel uncomfortable or pressured. We went to other places to check out other pieces, but it was Kay's service combined with the quality pieces that Nashco offers that brought us right back to Nashco for other pieces. We did experience some bad luck with a vendor that Nashco provides, and something like that usually takes my business elsewhere even though it was absolutely not Nashco's fault. Its easy to leave a great review when everything goes smoothly, but I want to highlight that the way Kay and Nashco handled a bump in the road gives me the confidence that they will go above and beyond for anyone and I feel safe and taken care of shopping there. The way that Kay handled our misfortune and even brought the owner over to make sure we were taken care of...it felt like they were in our corner, taking care of us and making sure we were happy. This is a great store to support, and it will always be my first to recommend and shop! Kay is the absolute best so be sure to ask for her! She has taken care of us after we shopped (we needed measurements as we are trying to set things up before another piece arrives) without hesitation. She even sent a hand written "thank you" card. What an amazing...
Read moreEdit 2: The owner had the delivery company to call to arrange more reasonable delivery. She first said the 23rd, then called back and said she moved me to the 21st between 12 and 5 pm. On Friday, I did not get a confirmation call. Contacted Madison and was told o no you are on the schedule for Monday, not tomorrow. Requested a call back from the delivery company so now Im waiting on that. Edit: I contacted them to say I can pickup on Sunday, my day off and was told the warehouse is closed so thats not an option. I said thats ridiculous. Then I get a smartass reply saying well the warehouse hours are posted in the showroom. I reminded her I already paid for delivery hence nothing was discussed about pickup. Madison is great initially. She knows her product and will work with you to find what you want. Once you pay, the customer service is gone. Ordered recliners and love seats with delivery and was told once everything came in it would be delivered. I was not told delivery would be 2 weeks or more out. I requested multiple updates on the ordered recliners. Madison would say she would check, then ghost me. I would call and they just said they couldnt give me any info other than they were ordered. I finally got someone to tell me they had been shipped after being rude about not receiving any information and being ghosted mutiple times. Yet they cant provide any info on when they would be delivered. I finally got the text today and called to schedule delivery and was told 27th was the earliest. I was in the middle of talking and we got "disconnected". I was then told that I could take the 27th or pick them up myself....
