Andrew M. Salon — Local services in Columbus

I went in for a partial (blonde) highlights and a trim but got so much more! Usually i go to the big name salons but havent been feeling like i get what im paying for so i decided to give this salon a try. I was a little nervous because it started to seem like a mostly nail salon but i still went for it. Upon walking in i was greeted by Andrews wife and was seated in the salon chair immediately. Andy came out and introduced himself and asked me what i wanted. I always ask whoever is styling my hair for a cooler toned bright blonde and almost always leave with golden (but still pretty) highlights. I realize now that its maybe a time issue at the bigger salons because this was the longest hair appointment i have ever had. Which made me kind of nervous tbh. But i do a have A LOT of hair so i trusted his plan. After a head full of foil, great conversation and many many laughs, it was time for shampoo (i thought). He shampooed me and then came back with a bowl of toner. I never get toned and now i see that this may b why i never get the blonde i ask for. He had a vision and time wasnt an issue. He then trimmed and blow dried my hair which is no easy task, but he made me feel like a piece of artwork! He definitely gave me the blonde i was after! I will go to him from now on because not only did he do a fantastic job, he made me feel like a made a new friend. Thank you Andy for putting a girl back in the game ;) and i will see u in 8 weeks! DO NOT GO HERE FOR OMBRE HAIR.. or maybe even color period!!! I normally would never bash a place like this, but I am seriously so disgusted with the terrible attitude and unprofessionalism I experienced here recently. I have been going to Andrew M. Salon for about 5 month's on and off to get my nails done and hair trims.

Kim is wonderful, very fun and I loved getting my nails done with her. But now I will never go back to this salon I loved going to because Andrew completely butchered my ombre job and INSISTED it was correct. Well, getting it fixed at Salon Lofts cost $125 ($55 more than he originally charged me!) He was extremely sloppy and too fast paced for such a delicate and time involving coloring technique. I can't tell you how many times the girl at Salon Lofts laughed and shook her head and the patchy, terribly colored streaks and errors ALL OVER MY HEAD. I would seriously be embarrased to put my name on what he did to me. Maybe he is better with men or something. All I know is that he destroyed my hair by having to bleach it all over again to "fix" the first time he messed it up. Girls, PLEASE don't go here for ombre - he absolutely does not know what he is doing. Thank god I got my money back.

I called this salon to ask about them to remove adhesive hair extensions out of the back of my hair as I can not do it myself and have nobody to help me, the owner of this place gets on the phone with me and I explained that I am willing to pay whatever I need to do bu t I need help getting these out of my hair, he was rude to me and told me to try oil soap and water I then again explained to him that I tried but I am getting them out to have them re dyed and re taped in and I am willing to pay for the removal, he then rudely asked why I can not have someone take them out I said I live alone and literally so not have anyone to help. He started talking more rude to e and I told him never mind I will call else where and take my money elsewhere. It is not a hard task I would think for any salon to do esp when someone is willing to pay the money it takes to do it. I took over half of them out myself I just can not see the back of my own head.
