Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas - Columbus — Local services in Columbus

As I read through the reviews here on Google I just have to say we are all human and yes sometimes doctors need to remember that they are human too but all in all our Community Health here in Columbus is just awesome. I was actually devastated to learn my doc Mr. Mike Forbes was leaving and really was having a hard time adjusting to what felt like starting all over getting to know my new team of Travis (who is probably the just coolest guy with him you can't leave without a laugh and feeling like he personally cared about seeing you), then for me there is Mrs. Audrey I love this woman as well it doesn't matter what it is if she is there I can count on everything I need is answered even if I just call for a quick question, and the rest of the new and old crew. I personally had been going through a lot and first not only were they there and stayed a hour past closing to help me catch my breath and get squared away but led me to the most amazing woman I have ever met Mrs. Sheila. With her patience and understanding, this lady knows her stuff and how to help with the upmost caring and willingness to hear what your trying to say and work with you to find a path that really works for you, I have to tell you there just is not another person for me. Love you Sheila. Now all that being said. this is my 99% of the time... I call and get Bailey (who if your running late like I usually am you call and she can usually use her magic and get you in, she is amazing telling you) or one of the other awesome ladies. They let me know if I can just walk in or if I should make a more in-depth appointment. I get to the clinic they are always friendly ready to check me in, we see each other so much they got me down, I always love to chat and its really like seeing one of your friends you hadn't seen in awhile. They know me and my girls we have always just felt welcome. My new provider is Dr. Torcha he was kind and easier to start to warm up to than I expected. Then if you do need meds you have to check out Karrie and her team in the in house pharmacy. They are fast, efficient, and actually saved my life once. I was prescribed a medicine from a specialist for a simple antibiotic but Karrie caught it knew it had bad reactions to my other meds and she got ahold of the other provider had my prescription changed all before I knew there was a problem. I can honestly say I love our hometown Community Health Center here in Columbus, they really do care how your doing. Oh and did I mention 7-7 7days a week guys, love it.
