Front desk staff is friendly, and the establishment is beautiful. However, the bedside manner provided by the Dr was not as pleasant. I asked questions and he seemed to only care to tell me that I could not find Semaglutide cheaper and after April it would no longer be available to me. I have needed assistance with weight loss for sometime so I went ahead with his suggested plan. The medication came from the pharmacy, no instructions on opening and in my past experience the cap comes off and is plastic. This cap top is aluminum, so I try to remove it. In doing so some of the liquid spills from the vial. I called the pharmacy and they told me to call the Dr. I called and spoke to the office they asked me if glass or metal was in the vial I told them I do not know. They asked me how much of the medication was left I told them I am unsure and offered to bring the vial in. The young lady told me to send pictures to the text line, pre-draw the medication to see how much I get out and refrigerate the medication and the MA would call me back. I did not receive a call back, so I called the next day the same young woman answered and said she remembered me and the Dr would be calling me.
The same Dr I saw calls, I explained what happened and that the pharmacy said to see if he wanted to resend the medication or a partial script. The Dr asked me if there was glass in the medication I said I do not know, offered to bring the syringes and vial I saved to the office. He proceeded to tell me if there is a chance glass was in the medication or metal which even he may or may not be able to determine the medication should be discarded (of course) and that he would never have told me to pre-draw the syringes due the risk of contamination and its not something they are allowed to do, so he wouldn't recommend; yet his staff told me to do so. He stated he would not be sending a new Rx because he would have to eat the cost of the medication. He then turned around and said but you were able to get some medication out of the vial so I would start there, use what you have and we will see what kind of discount we can give you when we see you for your follow up visit. He had the same lack of care in his tone on the call as he did in office and still suggested I use medication that he even admitted I should not use. I will be...
Read moreI have had an incredible experience with the Jiva Med Spa team in Columbus. I was not familiar or comfortable with med-spas or many of the services offered. I reviewed the information online and decided to book a consultation. If you are curious, you should absolutely take the time to DO THIS FOR YOURSELF. Not familiar with the procedures and pricing, I was a little nervous going in for my consultation. I met with Dr. Nanda. He was very approachable, easy to talk to and I did not feel rushed - not at all. He was very knowledgable, had great suggestions and knew all the pricing. They added the consult info in my profile. Honestly, some of it sounded too good to be true. I started small and found that what he suggested for treatment did EXACTLY what is was supposed to do, in the time he said it would do it. I was thrilled with the initial results and started adding in other services as initially discussed at my consult. The team had a record of it in my file, so it was really easy to do. Amber, TJ and the rest of the staff are the best. They are on time, responsive, very professional and just fun people to be around. I've seen Dr. Nanda several times since my initial consult and I love that he's so accessible. It feels like the team there keeps close tabs on my procedures and results. If Dr. Nanda said it will take X treatments of Y amount of time, it's spot on. For example, I've been doing BBL laser treatments for red and brown pigmentation. He said it would take 3 months, three treatments and I would be good to go. I was impressed after the first, but he's exactly right, three is the magic number. I am so happy with the value for the money spent. The treatments are more expensive than my standard salon chemical peel or facial, but I've been getting those regularly, buying and trying expensive skincare products for almost 2 years with okay results. After all that time and money, I am finally getting exactly what I've been searching and hoping for in 3 months and I am now more educated on how to properly care for and prevent hyper-pigmentation in the future.
I am so happy to find such a great company and team to work with moving forward. With their guidance, I already feel more confident in my skin and I'm seeing the best version of myself...
Read moreI've been getting 2 tattoos removed at Jiva for the past year and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience. After 8 sessions, 1 tattoo is entirely gone, while the other is coming along nicely. There is absolutely no trace of the first tattoo, and no scarring or discoloration whatsoever... it's still bizarre to see nothing there after 15 years of seeing a tattoo every day.
Dr. Nanda is a terrific doctor with a great bedside manner. He is very personable and always makes sure I'm comfortable during the appointment. He and the other practitioners really do a fantastic job and I know I'm in good hands at every visit. Vlad and the front desk staff are also great and very efficient - I've never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to get started.
I had a consultation at one other clinic prior to coming to Jiva because they had a decent deal on Groupon and also used Pico lasers. There were instant red flags during this appointment. Their pricing model was based on tattoo size, and they quoted me for a 4"x4" area that they had just measured at 4"x1", essentially trying to charge me for an area 4x the size. They also wanted to charge more than their quoted prices for the other tattoo because it has color, saying that switching the laser takes added time (it takes a few seconds). Neither tattoo was particularly dense or complex, taking around 5 minutes combined, so this was pretty irritating. But most importantly they didn't offer a guarantee, discounted rates, or anything similar if the tattoos weren't gone after the quoted number of visits. The price that Dr. Nanda quoted me was for as many sessions as necessary for complete removal, and I appreciate a business that stands by their work in such a way.
Jiva was recommended to me by a coworker who had a similar experience with her removal and I would have no issue recommending it to family or friends. My advice from my own experience would be to get the unlimited package. On a couple of occasions we've had to skip over some areas that hadn't completely healed, but with unlimited visits I never had to question whether I was getting my...
