I have attended several events over the years at the Martin de Porres Center. Several of those events are listed below.

• Ohioans to Stop Executions OTSE] annual conference [10-4-2013 and 10-5-2013]
• "The Golden Rule Today: Still Vibrant or No Longer Valid?," a panel discussion moderated by Fred Anderle [6-23-2016]
• Interfaith Association of Central Ohio [IACO] 24th Annual Main Event Luncheon [8-28-2016]
• Lunch and Learn: "Examining the Refugee Crisis with Art" [this free event had included lunch for preregistered attenders
The Martin de Porres Center opened in 2004 but I had not learned about their event space and their wonderful programs until the Niagara Foundation had scheduled its 1-24-2013 Abrahamic Traditions Dinner there.
I greatly appreciate the ambience and the welcoming environment at the Martin de Porres Center; their programs are consistently superb.
Traveling to the Martin de Porres Center can be interesting if one is traveling there via public transportation.
On 1-8-2020, I had previously been in the Franklinton neighborhood of Columbus and had discovered that I could travel to within half a mile of the Martin de Porres Center by taking a #9 COTA bus.
What I had not realized, when getting off my bus at the intersection of Brentnell Ave. and Woodward Ave., is that Woodward Ave. [the only way in that area to walk from Brentnell Ave. to Sunbury Rd.] had been closed because that road had been actively being reconstructed.
So I walked for half a mile, mostly through people's front yards, while watching bulldozers and other equipment moving up and down the street and actively re-building Woodward Ave. I eventually reached Sunbury Rd.
I then learned that Sunbury Rd., while not under construction, has deep ditches and guardrails, on both sides of the road, that had greatly limited my options for walking across the street to reach the Ohio Dominican University campus [where the Martin de Porres Center is located].
However, in spite of all of these obstacles, I arrived at the Martin de Porres Center a few seconds before my scheduled arrival time...
