I was here in columbus over the weekend and decided to get my nails done here. The hotel I stayed in said that this place was fantastic and everyone was perfessional and I would be in and out with no problems. I did walk in when they were a bit busy, they did not want to loose my business so they did fit me in before an appointment. I am a very fair person, but when I sat down to get my nails done I was immediately unease by the converstaion the owner was starting to have with me. I am a mid age afican american female and has never been so offended by a confersation in my life. As the owner started to examine my nails he continuesly conplained about the terrible job the pervious person did on my nails.. He went on with this conversation throughout the entire service. As he continued to talk so highly of he work I watched him file the nail bed of my acrylic nails super thin. (Meanwhile he does not no i have been doing nails for 6 year) He continued to make conversation while changing his tone to act as if he was a black person, and rolling his neck. He proceded to ask me if i liked certain music naming ONLY old school black rappers. He told me i was to serious after trying to avoid his conversation, and that i was impatient because i was very short with him. I asked for nail designs he told me that they did not do them them pulled out strippers and do them( which they are designs for someone who are 10) He knew i was not pleased and did not charge me for the design. I wish i would have gotten a simple refund but i did not want to set foot in there again.

I did tip him as well as pay for the service. But i was very offended after the service and now i have 5 chipped nails and have to pay to get...

Don't waste your time or money. I called and asked how much an acrylic nail fill would be with regular polish. A woman answered and quoted me $30. So I scheduled an appointment for 5:15pm, because that's a better price in the area. When I got to my appointment, I was barely greeted and told to pick out polish. The polish color selection was sorely lacking but the salon looked clean. A man named Dominic did my nails, and he didn't start them until 5:45pm while I just sat and waited. He then proceeded to file my nails for almost a full hour while he filled in the acrylics. My nails didn't look too bad when I went in, they just needed filled and trimmed a bit but he took it upon himself to cut them down a ton and "thin" them out, and he cut my cuticles in 5 different places (pictures attached). I did a regular manicure instead of gel, I asked for a light pink bottom coat with a shimmer coat on top. He put one coat of each color on my nail, so they're still transparent and you can completely see through-- which I understand happens but an additional coat of each would've been nice, especially since I'd been there for 2 HOURS at that point. Then to top it all off, he charged me $37 with tax for the manicure because they "use high quality products" even though the woman who works there quoted me $30. Overall, super unimpressed with my nails and definitely won't be going back.

P.S. I don't normally review places and really hesitated to with this one because they were nice, you can tell it's a family run place, and places are struggling with COVID. It was just a really disappointing experience, and I hope they can improve their business so they...

I went here because it's only about 5 minutes away from my house plus reviews were great! Anyway, I set foot into the salon with the employees using the massage chairs and just sitting on their phones. Then, a woman who I could barely understand said "you pick color" and I picked a color and said I wanted acrylics. We start the process and the woman used a drill that had not been cleaned. She never washed my hands or anything. I felt very unsanitary. Then as she drilled away she burned some of my skin because she had touched it. Then she left dust everywhere and just started gluing nails on! She then continued with the process and then she began to file my nails so roughly that I thought she was going to rip of the acrylics. It hurt so badly. Then she buffed my nails and she was so rough it hurt! Keep in mind there was zero conversation during this because she couldn't speak English. Anyways I don't like my nails much, and I'll probably just find a new place next time. It wasn't...

$105 for a gel mani/pedi that looks like a child did it. Lumpy, polish all over my skin, incomplete matte coat coverage, and hands left to soak in acetone so long they are wrinkly and ashen. It felt like I was being pranked. Edit: The manager, Kristy, texted me on my personal number in response to my review. I never gave the business my phone number so they clearly harvested it through other means. I asked her three times where she got my phone number and she won’t tell me. Lowering the star rating. This business is terrible.

I love the work that Trina did on my nails. They were looking a hot mess when I came in, and I left with the most gorgeous acrylics I have ever had. Trina is so nice and keeps me entertained while she is doing my nails. I am so glad she is my new nail tech. Definetly go to Nails on 5th is you want high quality service, and good prices!!
