I am an international student came here to study masters in technology management program. Firstly the program " Masters in Technology Management" doesn't have anything tech in the course. Most of the syllabus revolves around drones, project management and leadership. The program doesn't have any internship or CPT which is a huge disadvantage. There are no scholarships available for this course. This is more like a mini PHD where in you have to do so much research on several topics which are absolutely waste and have no relevance in the practical world. Neither is this degree valued for getting a job. The professors are only bothered about having research in APA format and doing coursework like a research with no relevance to the practical corporate world. As an international student, i took this course with a hope to get some practical exposure like internship and getting placed in a technology company. But i have wasted all my TIME, MONEY and EFFORT on this useless course. The professors are very much involved in their research work and least interested in teaching or helping students be prepared for...
Read moreThis review is in regards to graduation, summer 2023. When your child receives a masters degree and is part of the only ceremony that day, families should not be rushed out of the building to take pictures in 106° heat! We wanted one picture with the graduate's grandmother. The heat was too much for her. Security was extremely rude!! We were rushed out of the building within 20 minutes after the ceremony. We happened to be one of the last groups to exit out of the bleachers. We were not allowed any time for one photo.
When we arrived, there were no signs designating handicapped parking, which we needed. Apparently, a lot directly in front of the Fieldhouse was reserved for handicapped. There were no signs or even a person at 3pm to move cones for the disabled. One elderly woman fell, possibly because she had to walk too far. I saw her face plant on the asphalt parking lot. Her head was bleeding, nose may have been broken. Employees rushed to assist her but the accident could have been prevented. If that was my family member we'd be suing...
Read moreEast Texas A&M really said, “Congrats, you did it — now your family can watch your graduation in the student center!”
Limiting each graduate to 6 tickets while refusing to use the football field — the one space actually built to hold a crowd — is out of touch, outdated, and disappointing. Families show up for milestones like this, and graduates deserve/pay the tuition for a ceremony that reflects the work they’ve put in.
To make matters worse, East Texas A&M has been removing and hiding comments from frustrated students and families on their social media — a direct violation of First Amendment rights on public platforms. That’s why I’m posting here, where voices can actually be heard.
Time to rebrand, East Texas A&M. You’re not a small-town high school. Look around — almost every other university is accommodating families and celebrating grads properly. Get with the times...
