I needed 2 bottles of Grand Marnier orange liqueur congnac, and 3 liquor stores along this section of the Clayton Rd corridor proved how difficult this request was to be... This store wasn't just out of this rare, fine liquor from a little nation called France, I was informed by confused staff that they didn't even carry it. Clearly, this liquor store sits in an obviously defunct and purposeless private home, that speaks to the clear needs for a business that caters to the convenient need of walkers and commuters, surrounded by clearly out-of-step private homes, to have booze sold within this neighborhood of non-sales taxing homes. But I'm sure the Concord City council fought off those ignorant home owners way back when, to install this store here, almost looking as it doesn't belong. But back to my current review... Grand Marnier is such a niche brand few local stores could dare stock even one bottle to disappoint its customers in not finding, I understand. So I get this store's owner not even bothering with the label, at all. Too provincial; doesn't pair well with craft beers near the holidays. And this was 3yrs ago, things may have changed. Had to take my unusually large request to Bevmo, where I was greeted with no fewer than 16 or 17 bottles of the stuff in 3 different sizes (including airline size), all ready for immediate p/u and payment in under 4 minutes. I think next time, I'll just take my difficult orders to larger, cheaper stores to begin with, that also have a wider variety of craft beers at lesser cost. These little boutique, neighborhood liquor stores just can't keep up with the growingly diverse needs of its new neighbors. Ahem. The wicked-curve I threw the Farm Bureau Market with a bottle of Grand Marnier proved they were too minor league to help with my wild request; the yappying puppy that should've stayed on the porch.

I'm always greeted by a friendly employee when i walk in. Maybe that's so that you know they are paying attention - the security/alarm system leads me to believe they've probably had theft problems in the past and are being proactive about preventing them.

Good selection of snacks, and alcohol and other beverages - this is a great little...

I live in San Francisco and this beats any beer store there out of the water. You want the most expansive IPA collection ever assembled in Northern California? Check...oh and it's fresh too. Its basically like having the option to buy every beer said brewery has to offer. For example, they have over 8 Moonrakers by the can. I can't get that unless I...
