Parma Delicatessen — Restaurant in Concord

I was referred to this Italian deli about four months ago. I ordered a turkey sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! There was a woman behind the counter and she made it perfectly. Subsequently I’ve been back three more times. The second time was the same as the first. However, the third and fourth time it seems to be lacking. There’s one gentleman in there that just doesn’t know how to make a good sandwich. Although he wrote down everything that I wanted on it, but when I got home, the sandwich was made incorrectly. And to top that it was about half the size as they usually are. I think he gave me only a half a piece of bread although I paid for a full sandwich. There was not the big mound of meat that normally goes on the sandwich. It seems like they can be inconsistent. For me, it’s not worth the drive if this is the type of sandwich I’m going to get. The selection was abundant with meats and pasta and salads. It was nice to get pasta salad that wasn't overly salty or sweet. I would try this place again. The only problem I have with this place is with one of the employees. We were standing in line trying to read all the options on yhe menu, the guy behind the counter said" what's it gonna be" I said I needed a moment longer to decide, that I have never been here before, please take the next folks in line as we need a minute to go over the menu. The guy then said in a nasty tone, " oh c'mon, you've been standing there reading it forever, make a decision"! We had literally been there for two minutes. This guy had an angry look the whole time. And not just with us. Customer service is essential to me. And when dealing with someone who acts like they don't want to be there, and there doing you a favor just for showing up, does not score...

Simple deli with imported Italian goodies. It seemed family owned and like they had regulars. Really nice people and community vibe. There are many sandwiches to choose or you can make your own. We got one muffuletta and one turkey bacon with pesto, mayo, cheese, and veggies. The gardenia on the muffuletta was delicious! Tangy, flavorful, and chunky. We tried the sourdough roll and it absorbed the gardenia juice really well and not soggy. The turkey was loaded! We got the Dutch crunch bread.
